Eibach have a sale on at the moment for 94-96 springs, which are the ones that fit your ride. and what ever u do, dont cut the springs. As for rubber i guess a 185/195 60-55 14 would work. got a link? |

A-frames require the mountings on the car to be permanently mounted and engineered, and the available one for the Excels are HUGE and come out below the front bar!!! |

Stupid Question please answer ( or not ) ---->> My mate is keen in racing his excel however 3 weeks ago he lost his license ( Not in his Hyundai LOL ). Do you need to show an official drivers license to be able to race out on the track?? I'm in a similar position right now, no lic but you can drive the track on a track licence, so as long as u can get the car there your sorted. As for car transport, just keep it road reg none of our crew have a trailer/towbar, or anything to tow it with, so we bit the bullet and are keeping it on the road. |

yeah my next question was "does the car being towed need to be registered.. A-frames require the mountings on the car to be permanently maounted and engineered, and the available one for the Excels are HUGE and come out below the front bar!!!
I looked at the idea and also a tow dolly where the front wheels sit on a mini trailer but there may be some issue with an unregistered vehicle having its rear wheels on the road!!!! I am waiting for formal confirmation either way from Qld Transport. When I get the answer I will post it. |

Does the car being towed need to be registered ......... I had the same question and looking through the Transport legislation it appears to be an offence to drive or TOW and unregistered vehicle on a Qld road!!!!! That was why I asked the question of QLD Transport. |

Need to know so I can see what King Springs are available. yeah mate x2. thats cool. there'll be a bit of competition between us . i think ours are single cam so we should also be very competitive against any single cam x3's oh btw Jeff new team name for car 87, Josh Duffy will be Home Brand Motorsport... haha thanks mate |

Jeff - who said anything about night racing?????? its a thought though isnt it awesome. i'm hoping to get into the 60's at lakeside. i'll be chuffed with that... also i was wondering where do we get the race numbers? We are organising the numbers. AMS is making them for us, there is no charge to the Excel drivers for the numbers. I think that Richard has made 55 & 75 ready for this weekend We are making the numbers up as the cars are entered. If we dont have your official numbers ready there are numbers to borrow at the track. |

what about if you never raced on track before does anybody help you out so you just dont go out there and first corner write your car off It was our first time out there last weekend, watch the briefing and pay attention to flags etc. when you go out you'll get the idea of it, just like driving on the road. if you write your car off first corner (in a excel) your brakes dont work at all. if you havn't flushed them yet do it now. our x3 had some serious bubbles in the lines. 1 lap around and you'll basically know the line you WANT to take. taking it doesn't happen till about the second session, but its still great fun but yeah just take it easy and you'll be fine. |
