if u cant drive in a busy neighbourhood u shouldn't have ur licence.... i seriously don't see how kids can get there licence driven in a unpopulated area with no distractions in the morning and expect or think they can drive down the coast or in the city that afternoon with a carload of friends.

get ur licence legit it will pay off and you will feel like you actually earned it. driving is a privilege not a right.

ps: if you do get ur licence do a defensive driving coarse as soon as possible before you try and pull off some sick skids or load up ur mates and try and show off... the car handles differently when its loaded up with people

wtf Sherwood is not bad at all compared to some others like greenslopes. I highly recomend logan, I did mine there and it took less than five mins. All I did was drove through two roundabouts and then back. No parking bullshit or anything like that. However I did know what I was doing when it came to driving.

I love it how the majority of people "claim" they were only on thier test for 5 or 10 mins. I spose this is because they are so awesome.

Pity it simply never happens like that.

Like I said earlier, go to Greenslopes and try and get the cranky old fella. If you pass with him then you know you're ready to drive. He has a reputation but it's only because he's actually good at his job.

You can tell from places like Sunnybank that when people can't drive but somehow manage to get their licence anyway it's just plain dangerous. i.e. it's almost a death sentence to your car if you wanna park in market square...

your a retard........I literally was not ont the road for even five mins before we headed back........Dont know why but I was not asked to do any parking, hillstart, reverse straight line or anything.......all I did was drove though a couple of roundabouts........I dont think everyone makes it up fuckface..........sometimes they probably just dont give a fuck.......

Uhh..well I am 25 years old so I do not think that I am going to have the urge to 'pull sick skids' with my friends (who would be at work, most probably.) in the back.

Anyway I'm booked in and I'll finally get my licence, hopefully, which will be quite nice.

I did my test in pretty dense traffic, I think I'd prefer it like that too... Drove around for about 20 minutes in dense traffic, did a reverse park, reverse parallel, hill start, 3 point turn then it was back to QT to take a picture and walk out with a nice yellow bordered piece of laminated paper.

My only mark down was a NCE for clutch coasting at the start of the test.

Passed first go, this was in Helensvale.

Good luck man, as long as you're pretty comfortable with the car and can actually drive, you won't have any problesms.

maybe its because the tester could sense you are such an awesome driver you didn't even need to do the test. did you get lessons from thekhakiwarrior on how to drive by any chance?

you are the retard

If you're confident in your driving ability, and have indeed completed in excess of 200hrs, then provided you're doing the other little things like shoulder checking, not clutch coasting etc, then it shouldn't matter how "hard" a testing centre is.

Have you had any professional driving lessons? If not, I would suggest paying for a couple just so they can assess whether you're capable, and make you aware of anything that may cause you dramas. They can also advise you of any locations in the testing area that may catch you by surprise (ie. 24hr school zone or stop sign that seems to be on the wrong piece of road etc). It's well worth the money.

Ipswich is full of hidden traps such as odd intersections, school zones that operate all day, plenty of one way streets to trick you (turn right at the next street - except the next street on the right is one way and no entry) and some nice doozy hills for hill starts. It's nothing particularly hard a such, but unless you've done some practice in that area (particularly with a driving school who know the traps), you might just find yourself failing.

Personally my advice is to test where ever you spent most of your time practicing. If you haven't taken professional lessons, do so. Even if it's only two or three, they'll be able to alert you to behaviour or traps that'll result in you either losing points or failing.

Definitely this.

Go for your test wherever you do your driving.

I agree with the people saying do it where you feel comfortable and know the area. I'm a fairly recently new P plater and I did my test at Beenleigh, area I'm half familiar with in a ford laser that I had a quick 1 hour lesson before hand in (never driven it before) and I passed first go. The guy is thorough but fair and took me mainly through the backstreets near the roadworks and as long as you know your manouvres, pay attention constantly to speed and watch all the signs like a hawk. Also, I highly recommend getting it booked through a driver school. My one hour lesson beforehand was probably the reason I passed. The guy showed me problem spots and things to watch for and corrected a bad driving habit I didn't even notice (clutch coasting) and by the time the lesson was over, I'd gotten rid of the clutch coasting problem and was ready and half an hour later I had my shiny new license! Just act relaxed, follow the signs and you won't have a drama thumbsup.gif
