Which location in Brisbane/close by is going to be the most calm for me to take my driving test. I'm thinking maybe ipswich or cleveland as I know sherwood is very hectic at most times of the day. |

Zillmere was fine for me all those years ago...if you do it on the school holidays you dont even have to worry about forgetting the school zone speed limit change... |

Ipswich is full of hidden traps such as odd intersections, school zones that operate all day, plenty of one way streets to trick you (turn right at the next street - except the next street on the right is one way and no entry) and some nice doozy hills for hill starts. It's nothing particularly hard a such, but unless you've done some practice in that area (particularly with a driving school who know the traps), you might just find yourself failing. |

as someone mentioned earlier qld transport at zillmere, did my test there about 3 years ago and the driving was pretty easy. the instructor basically took me around the back streets of zillmere/aspley and only went as far as geebung which is industrial area so traffic is almost non existant except for a few cars. also therz no hidden traps like stop signs and school zones, only a few intersections and giveways but nothing simple logic couldnt figure out on the "difficult" ones. |

School zones and stop signs are HIDDEN TRAPS now? They are all well signed. With good use of the observation skills you SHOULD have at the point of doing your test, there is no reason these things should have any detrimental affect on your result. Being familiar with the area will help you more than having less traffic. If you know the ipswich area best, do it there. Most of the time people know the area near where they live the best. Finally............If you can't drive, it wont matter where you do the test, you ARE gonna FAIL................. If you CAN drive, it wont make any difference. |

what car do you plan on doing it in... i did my first test in my brothers 350hp r33 in the wet... lets just say i coped a lecture about hooning and prceeded to fail my driving test over bullshit stuff. i then did it the next week in a suzuki swift, didnt get one critical my tips to you would be to, book a driving lesson before your test, and go dricing around the area and get the instructor to show you stuff to watch out for and then 10 big breaths then go for it. You got lectured and failed because you obviously did not drive to suit the conditions. Whether a car has 35hp, 350hp or 700hp is of very little consequence. If it is street registered, it is still able to be driven in a manner to satisfy the Qsafe requirements. And your second test....... you didn't get one critical? of course you didn't, if you had you would have failed. A Critical driving error is just that....CRITICAL. eg: Instant FAIL |

as has been said if you cant drive in traffic, dont go! Get used to driving in traffic first. One of my pet hates is idiots who cant drive in traffic. Learn to drive properly before going for a test. And since when are school zones, stop signs, giveways and shit traps? Even if you arent from the area they are clearly marked by either signs or road markings. Not like they are so decrete that you cant see them. |

What? You said yourself you didn't drive to suit the conditions in the skyline. Yet that obviously was not the case in the swift. You got a different result because you drove better. Not because you were in a swift. YOU are the reason new drivers are not allowed to have performance cars. Hell, you couldn't even keep it in your pants long enough to pass your test. I can only imagine the reckless shit you would get up to in a 350hp skyline with your dumbass flat-brimmer(EDIT, your NERD) mates in the back seat. Maybe when you grow up you will see the bigger picture. In the meantime, for everyones safety, please stay off the roads. |
