From what i know of it isn't possible to put a blow off valve on a diesel because it doesn't make vacuum, and most diesels don't have a "throttle body" as such..... Some newer diesels have electronic over boost valves etc. |

no it wont work. diesel "throttle bodies" are completly different to that of a car. I havn't seen a turbo diesel with a throttle body all together. with that being said. no. no you cannot have a dose pipe either. some diesels have a flap at the entrance to the runners.... like i said "as such" |

Suprisingly, it is possible to fit a BOV to a turbo diesel. |

some diesels can be made quiet quick actually. love the torque in them. some BMW turbo diesels with a ECU flash/exhaust/intake are good for mid 5's 0-100 and still be p plate legal |

Just go uphill and listen to the turbo whistle (I have a turbo-diesel as well). My brother wants me to put a blow off valve on my car but there's no point, it's a DSG and changed gears in like 0.08 seconds. Don't know if you can do it on the Ranger's but get it flashed. Best money I ever spent |

bov's are there for a reason (release boost presure to stop it damaging the turbo) why would you go though all the trouble of adding one if you didn'tt actualy need it. |

lol ford ranger is a bt50 just different badges, im a mech at mazda, and it is possible to put them on as they have a vacuum pump that controls most of the soliniods, theres an electric boost sensor hook one of the vacum soliniods to it and use a pot to get it to open on a certain boost, but once this is done u must then remove the wiring to the stock boost controller, its really to much effort then what its worth, just sit back and enjoy the nice loud whistle |
