this is the way it will stay. with the auto its quite scary. constant boost in every gear.

didnt get it ready for powercruise i guess? didnt see you there. there was to out there this year both 1j's one auto the other manual.
i havn't done anything with my car as im looking for a cressida to put the 2j outta my commodore in. but im going to go manual for abit of fun skiding,drifting etc it will not be that quick at the track with a manual compared to an auto but that just keeps me trying harder hey lol.
so if you see a good price grande around let me know cheers.

Looking good. Why didn't you relocate battery to the boot? Looks a tad squished in there.

Just got to wire the fuel pump tomorrow and should be running again. Swapping the tune from my 10 second corona into it to start tuning Auto will die soon. Then getting MV stage 2 box with 3200rpm converter. Will buy some 255/50/16's to go on stock jzz30 wheels and will be looking to run mid 11's in street trim.

Then going to strip sound deadening and interior bits and aiming for a high 10. That's the plan anyway

people's thoughts on wheels on cressidas? I think they look great and all like 1.5jzcressy's look awesome but seeing as how the whole point of jzing a cressida is as a sleeper I can't bring myself to do it! my car has r33 wheels to clear r33 brakes and even they are slightly obvious as to what is hiding

the set up your goin to have should run 11'z my mate was running 11.6 daily with pretty much the same set up do supra wheels looks sweet

i could of gone with sleeper spec but nah got over that style , barret looking good man you got a time frame gotta be comin close now ????? are they the work wheels on there???

not worrying about the commo anymore, im about to go have a look at a x8 grande down the coast so if i buy it ill be putting all my 2j gear outta my commo in it but with a r154 as i want to go manual. ill let you know if i buy it. but once i swap it all over ill be keen on a jz cruise just give me a couple of months to swap over everything and mod stuff hahaha. bazr33 looks really good mate, chris davey- cant wait to see the cressy out doing good time mate.

yeah we had the idea of relocating the battery to the boot to give us some extra space in the engine bay, but i think we were more determined that the battery was going to fit haha. Also found out how to save a bit of coin with the use of battery cable, im pretty sure we bought a decent length of welding cable for half the price, does the job perfectly.

Yeah Dan, not too far away, rear end is pretty much finished, just needs wiring now and exhaust. Soon as i can get it into where it needs to go then its done. should be looking at a month i reckon. And yes the work wheels are on the cress haha, sets it off nicely, thanks for that. Just need to get a decent ride height and should look like how i want it.

I'll get some more pics of when i have the work wheels on all round.

Its just going to be funny, that i have spent less then half of what i have spent on my 33 and the cress is probably going to piss all over it.

well i got my new x8 grande today. got it off a old guy that had to hand in his licence as he was just too old to drive anymore. he had it pretty much since new. and its in mint condition apart from a few dents and scratchers from just being to old to drive. ill get up some pics in the next few days. cant wait to get the 2j in lol.

i just bought a single turbo for mine got a bargin off ebay T04 (garret not chinese) its only got a .6 front but a 1.00 rear should be good just enough lag.

How deep into 10's do you think you will get ?? Whats with your mph only being 96 you should try flooring your car at the drags.

would have been an early back off for some reason. If you back off just a bit before the line the mph will drop significantly.

BTW I am going for the 10seconds for $10000 challenge

Would like a breakdown of costs when you do it. Although swapsies and shiznit makes it a bit difficult to put values on things really.

I am talking cost of car, less ecu, turbo, injectors sold add new turbo, ecu, injectors, diff, ebc, wideband, built gearbox.

Make sure you guys post up when you are heading to willow bank for a test and tune. I want to run my Chaser again soon, needs a service and some slight changes to the tune first though. Sadly may have to sell it soon, business is slow and money is a bit tight :wtc:

You getting into the 11's or 10's or whatever for 5k, thats not really a fair comparison. When we know someone spent alot more then 2k to build that car.
