the only way to get a final answer is a 1/4 mile day with all different p plate cars so all cars are ran on the same day and its all equal im happy to bring my somewhat modified n/a supra out you mean a day at QR or even Mt cotton |

Straight lines don't mean shit.... I can think of plenty of cars that might go sort of quick down a track but throw a corner in there and they'll be in the kitty litter before you know it (ie. Most Commodores) |

Like what? Name a car that's THAT slow down the quarter that won't walk over your boat in a track situation. |

hahaha are you serious? The time was completely random, not based on anything ive seen or seriously believe. But if you want cars that would lose to a commodore down the strip, basically any stock pulsar, civic, or even the older type integra's. |

Oh but they are the arguments I love to have! All cars have merits, all drivers are entitled to an opinion, etc Apart from Commodore owners/drivers |

I hope you mean non vtec honda's and GA16 pulsars because a B-series honda / SR pulsar will run a lot faster time than that. |

14/15's i thought stock honda type R's run, probably wrong though |

Only pulsar I know ran in the 15's so you'll have to ask the nissan guys more about those. Stock Integra's will run mid 14's to mid 15's depending on driver and model. lets be honest, drag racing is not their forte, in the same way a twisty mountain road is a commodore's kryptonite And yes, horses for courses |

I can tell you how fast most stock imports are, regardless of type; 180km/h. I'd say the fastest would be one with the bigger engine & better gear ratio's? |

a cop said to my mate the other day if u r running premium fuel in a hi out put aloytech he could do him for driving a car over kw's? that cant be right hey? manufacture's claimed power output figure, would be under perfection conditions, run on quality fuel, so holden quoted 190kw would have been made on premuim unleaded, probly 100 octane, so running premuim unleaded in an high output alloytec will never make it jump another 10kw, rendering it illegal to drive on your p's. |

Someone said that the commodore engines were shit. I was pointing out that the alloytec/ecotec arent shit. e.g. capable of 225KW from a stock 6 commodore = an alright designed engine. So i'd say me bringing it up was completely warranted. I guess you are right in that but think the Power/Litre Ratio. If they made a 3.5Ltr DOHC VTEC engine. I'd want to see it go. And also i can agree that in a straight line a commodore would win but not on a winding track. Depending on the model and such. Glad to see you and me have finally agreed on something =P |

yeah honda's are pretty damn good I must admit. I still reckon the inline 6, 4 litre falcon engine is the best bang for buck p plater engine, especially over a commy. The 1995 model falcon had 357 nm of torque, while a brand new sv6 commy only has 340 nm haha catch up already. |

HPF got over 1100hp out of one.... |

Toyota made a touch over 200kw/336nm with a 3.5L Dual VVT-i 2GR-FE, I'd love to see what they could do they gave the heads to Yamaha - 300kw should be easily possible. Sad this is I doubt they will ever do it |

Do you mean the Ford engines are better across the range, or are are you comparing specific models? Regardless i would have to disagree. My old bog stock(basically) VN V6 would beat stock BA/BF falcons at the lights. Even say VZ vs BF ive noticed that the commodore will usually win. Do the BF have a paddle shift with the semi auto? What model ford made that Nm figure, the XR6 or what? I doubt at 24 years old its still making that power however. |

Remember that engine was built in the times of the Japanese gentlmen's agreement. Therefore 290hp in the brochure equal alot more in reality. The NSX-R hits 100km/hr in round 4.5 seconds and puts in some serious lap times, it has to make more then whats published. |

............over 200kw mate not to be cocky but u probly wont find a STOCK one faster than an aurion mate. i got a 14.2 at the drags stock pretty much, so if u know your shit about cars and know what there times are down the quarter and dont think that every car with rims does a 10 sec pass like fast and furious ud know thats fukin good for what it is...not very many cars if any will do that with P plate restrictions FS if u want to buy it 14.2... The Aurion is well capable of a 14.131 @ 99.29mph. You're really serious about the selling side of things? Well good luck mate. 14.2@98 Fark thats alright & its a heavy FWD too lol can I ask whats "Pretty much stock?" Yeah. They certainly do go alright. Mine is more 'stock' than 313GNT's and it makes a 14.131 @ 99.29mph (time slip). Mine basically has just has the rear mufflers changed and existing restrictions on the intake removed, so no major at all. The Aurion handles quite well surprisingly. I'm sure a few people here can confirm that. |
