Hey all. Just need to cart my bike 5hrs down the road. so i wanna tie it in the back fairly securely. They're obviously not the greatest work truck of all time. but nevertheless its all i have so it'll have to do Any help would be greatly appreciated -------------------- Money can't buy happiness. Get some tie down/ratchet straps. Secure to both handlebars and tie down until the forks are fully compressed. If it's a dirt bike I'd leave it at that but if it's a roadbike tie down the back wheel and maybe a strap over the seat (Don't tie it down too hard over the seat though because it will leave indents in the foam that will take a while to go away). Kick it a few times to see if it's going to move, get in car, drive. Probably best to check the straps every hour or so unless it's a POS and you don't mind it falling over. Don't leave them forks compressed for too long or it will root your fork seals |

grab some stainless tie downs from BCF (marine use but work fine in utes) and chuck them in the back of your tray (bolt to chassis) |

Thanks Lux. you dick. if you don't want to help then shut up. I know how to tie down a bike. its just more what to tie it to in a VZ ute. I only got the ute last week and haven't really looked at where to tie something to. will basically be at work during daylight hours until the weekend when i go and am just asking for a point in the right direction.
