No. 13 is amazing. I'd say my favourite of that set.

Come on, a 1:40 putting GT2's to shame?

Ours does bare minimum low 1:38's with an owner driver! Only has 370-odd rwkw as well!

Great shots though, as i have already told you i'm sure! lol

Will have to have a better look at that blog seeing as my car will probably be on there at some point...

I'll admit, it's fast. Those 4x4 cars really shine at OP more than EC. The same car does 1:11-1:12 at OP GP which is about the same as the fastest Evo's.

Surprised Bel Garage don't look after the white Evo now? What's the story there?

matt mead
Post #676

Camrons car was running semi slicks aswell so fast haha.

Im not 100% but i think the owner just got over not having a reliable package, so went else where to get the results for the money he is spending.

I had a quick chat with garth (normal driver) at superlap and he had only driven the car 3 times since last superlap, every time something went wrong.

Apprently its making 450kw at the wheel on e85 with alot less boost then before, motor is dry sumped now which was made by insight.

RaceSupplies
Post #677

Wonder why they went E85. Maybe just a "Green" thing although I know it's supposed to make a bit more power. Really, proper race fuel is the way to go if you don't want to grenade stuff!

Interesting it's making the same power on less boost. They're obviously going about it the right way if it holds together and makes good power!

matt mead
Post #678

They went E85 for that reason, same power less boost, plus more torque.

RaceSupplies
Post #679

I guess in that area (track work) extra consumption is really not important. It's still alot cheaper than ELF or VP (by a good few dollars a litre) and you don't burn *that* much more. If it competed in enduro's etc you might start thinking about it, but using 5-10% is nothing for Super Lap style things.

Last time I used film was back in 2000 for science at school...

These days, I don't have the time, patience and especially the money to use it...

Most people in the photo section wouldn't have a clue about film, like to see them go pick a roll of film..out of the how many there are to choose from.. ahah

I was going to try and get into it at hervey bay and do some street stuff, but I really couldn't justify $60 for two batteries and film laugh.gif

velvia for the win smile.gif

I wanted to get some velvia but no one process it in sydney cheap enough..cost me about 40$ a roll and i would have to wait a week.

All up this roll of film and devlopment onto a cd cost me 22$ not to expensie for alittle event like this.. And out of the 36 exposures i chucked out about 5 shots. Thats alot better succes rate then with my digital camera haha.

Im going to buy some in bulk from Bhphoto the next time i need some cheap filters.

I rate Kodak's BWC400CN, C-41 B&W for the same reason as you Matt, $20~ dev & cd. Easy. Problem is finding a lab with a decent enough scanner or you get grain AND snow.

Shots are nice, #6 is my fav, a nice editorial shot. Pity you couldn't have used something a tad cleaner like a 400 to keep grain down a bit. Nice comp in them though.

matt mead
Post #691

Im going to test out a 400 or lower to see the grain levels at this lab im using. Hopefully its all good becasue hes cheap. Reason i got 1600 is simply because i didnt want to use a tripod as you cant really use that to get shots of people as i wanted to get an editorial/photojournalist style coverage of the event. But i enjoyed it because it was just so much fun. You dont know what to expect. I was like a kid going to a candy store when i went to pick it up. THen i saw the contact sheet and it was like a sense of relief cause they turned out lol

True that, although going with slide or print can be the difference between no shots or half a roll.

Had a commisson with www.rallyschool.com.au today for some new shots for there website. Here are two snaps. This has been my most challenging shoot so far. Success rate has to be very high due to the limited amount of passes the drivers could do with out interupting there normal schedule. Was so much fun and all my shit got so dirty.

same site i got my shots on 2 when i was down there...

not as good as urs tho.. nice work.. love the evo shot.. smile.gif

Yeah for still pretty much stock car, only things changed are tyres, wheels, pads and rotors

anyway did a small photoshot on a guys car on saturday arvo... Moral was keep to keep it simple and use ambient lighting. I doubt i will use my flashs again until i get pocketwizards.
