QUOTE(RaceSupplies @ Apr 27 2009, 07:56 PM) Come on, a 1:40 putting GT2's to shame? Ours does bare minimum low 1:38's with an owner driver! Only has 370-odd rwkw as well! Great shots though, as i have already told you i'm sure! lol Will have to have a better look at that blog seeing as my car will probably be on there at some point... You have to admit 1:40 is fucking fast lol only one car was faster then it the day after at the porsche track day Anyway wew lens for me today 17-40 f4L bye bye 18-55. For an upgrade out of want the necessitie. Test shot, pretty sharp for 40d at iso3200 |

I'll admit, it's fast. Those 4x4 cars really shine at OP more than EC. The same car does 1:11-1:12 at OP GP which is about the same as the fastest Evo's. |

Wonder why they went E85. Maybe just a "Green" thing although I know it's supposed to make a bit more power. Really, proper race fuel is the way to go if you don't want to grenade stuff! |

I guess in that area (track work) extra consumption is really not important. It's still alot cheaper than ELF or VP (by a good few dollars a litre) and you don't burn *that* much more. If it competed in enduro's etc you might start thinking about it, but using 5-10% is nothing for Super Lap style things. |

I was going to try and get into it at hervey bay and do some street stuff, but I really couldn't justify $60 for two batteries and film |

QUOTE(JuStDaVe @ May 2 2009, 08:34 AM) velvia for the win I wanted to get some velvia but no one process it in sydney cheap enough..cost me about 40$ a roll and i would have to wait a week. All up this roll of film and devlopment onto a cd cost me 22$ not to expensie for alittle event like this.. And out of the 36 exposures i chucked out about 5 shots. Thats alot better succes rate then with my digital camera haha. Im going to buy some in bulk from Bhphoto the next time i need some cheap filters. |

I rate Kodak's BWC400CN, C-41 B&W for the same reason as you Matt, $20~ dev & cd. Easy. Problem is finding a lab with a decent enough scanner or you get grain AND snow. |

Im going to test out a 400 or lower to see the grain levels at this lab im using. Hopefully its all good becasue hes cheap. Reason i got 1600 is simply because i didnt want to use a tripod as you cant really use that to get shots of people as i wanted to get an editorial/photojournalist style coverage of the event. But i enjoyed it because it was just so much fun. You dont know what to expect. I was like a kid going to a candy store when i went to pick it up. THen i saw the contact sheet and it was like a sense of relief cause they turned out lol |

Had a commisson with www.rallyschool.com.au today for some new shots for there website. Here are two snaps. This has been my most challenging shoot so far. Success rate has to be very high due to the limited amount of passes the drivers could do with out interupting there normal schedule. Was so much fun and all my shit got so dirty. same site i got my shots on 2 when i was down there... not as good as urs tho.. nice work.. love the evo shot.. |
