thinking about buying a WR200, 1998 model.

wondering what the cons and pros of getting one would be, but have never used one myself.

Is in good condition ? Nice bike - right in middle of 125/250, not many for sale as most owners want to keep 'em.

I owned one and it was a FANTASTIC bike.... VERY VERY GOOD

they have a big tank ride for ages on it

dont break down, can flog the guts out of them and they love it. I owned mine for years and it was never a problem. I highly recommend

sounds good so far, ive googled some things and the opinions vary, tho many are talking about 1992 model

the bike im interested in sounds pretty good, $2000, 19,000km on speedo with still 11 month rego, im a learner & rode mainly off road bikes, 4 strokes and the odd 2 stroke

what info are you after. i rebuilt the bike from the ground up, replaced basically everything over the time I had it due to the thousands of millions of k's I did on it.

I tore the powervalve in the exhaust off one day when i had a big spill down a massively steep hill. I rode it home. I was in pain, had addrenalin pumping hard and didnt bother to check over the bike. Didnt have a hassle with it beside it not hitting band...

dunno what else ide like to know, just a few diff people i guess so i can have an overall idea that its a good bike, sounded like yours was good but ive heard some arnt but just wondering australian edition cause amierca diff i read them

good choice. Fit a pro-circuit pipe to it, and some aftermarket reeds, thing will go like stink

Was one up the bush other week going very nicely...Once you get it running nicely, don't go changing too many things at once. Find a nice oil ratio that your bike lkes and stick with it. A bit of blue smoke on choke at start up and then, stuff all once warm and under load...i'm running 32:1 on Shell two stroke, RMX250 and it seems to be performing very nicely...

I used TTS at 40:1...sometimes 30:1, others 50:1.... I was NEVER pedantic about it. Aslong as it had a basic level of oil in the ball park I was happy. I dont think the whole, stick it in a measuring jug to get it ml perfect makes sense, when the pump for petrol may be reading wrong anyway!

does the oil mix itself under the seat on your bike or premix yourself?

you gotta pre mix it. Put it with your fuel in a jerry, give it a little shake, then in the bike it goes

Castrol TTS oil. Comes in a greeny looking bottle.

yeah i know how to mix lol, just was unaware of it mixes itself under seat or premix, damn thats gunna be a bitch on longish rides.

mine wasnt road rego'd. But I havent ever had a bike thats lasted longer on fuel, I have never been with a bike that has out ridden the WR200 for k's on a tank either...

Its got a reserve tap, so dont have to worry about it running out, once it hits reserve, then go to the petrol station and work it out that way.

Hit band quicker.... its a 200 enduro 2 stroke. Biggest difference to band this thing will notice is adjustement of the powervalve. The oil wont change shit on it.
