i found a rubber grommet for $2 at clark rubber to fill the old antenna hole, i just sealed the bare metal around the hole with primer before i pushed it in. the snorkel should hide most of it. also bought a new 83mm hole saw, for the 90' stainless bend to sit in.

marked out an cut the first hole for the snorkel this arvo i have to elongate the hole tomoro so that the 90 degree bend sits tight against the body.

than cut through the body, and primed all bare metal surfaces.

i had some help tho

are you going to have a ram head like you see on most plastic snorkels or put a 45 degree bend on the top facing the rear of the ute so as not to get dust and water in it?

plan is to use the plastic air ram i already have facing forward to help force air in when highway driving. then for when im wheeling i will spin the head around an put the pre-filter sock over the air ram head.

used the angle grinder to shape the hole in the guard for the bend. used 250mm of flex with 2 good hose clamps and some rubber spacers to get the joins super tight, water tight (hopefully).

i just have to cut the straight pipe up an one of the bends an then it will be getting tigged early next week.
