How much would it cost to hire those guys from Darwin Video Supplies or whatever it's called to cover the event?

Is everyone using 2nd gear through the back section we were drifting on saturday? I might try 3rd during practice session on 18th.
Wish I had tried different tyres earlier. The 255's I was was using were on the car when it arrived in oz!!!
Think they had gone so hard they made the car handle shit. Put some different 235's on for the last session and it was a toatally different car :mamoru:. I actually had some grip. The 255's had lasted all day and still had tread on them but wore the 235's to canvas in 15mins  Cant wait to have a crack on brand new tyres this weekend.
Oh and I put my front bar back together, but it looks like its completly made of race tape now!

Hahahahahaha nice one. I told you those tyres were shit. Stick with the 235 dude. Like i said i got 2 at work for 125 each fitted. Let me know.

Also i know that most if not all of us are going through the back section in 3rd gear. I personally cluutch kick it on entering the corner in 3rd and then power through the entire section. :mamoru:

I have put a suggestion to Darren (unknown) about the video so see how that goes.

Hidden Valley is ALL 3rd gear except for the hairpin and some people prefer 2nd on turn 5 also :mamoru:

Hey guys/gals
thought i'd let you know that old man in my office was talking to me today about motorsport and stuff and mentioned he had heard about some night meeting on this weekend with drifting and was heading down to the track to go and have a look.. he's not local btw he has moved here from Brisvegas about 3 months ago...

So keep up the good work - whatever you are doing to get your messge out there it seems to be working and more and more people are finding out about this event and TEDA itself!!

*I have to add my apologies as an old family mate is having his 21st that night so i cant attend - but look forward to reading this thread Monday morning to see what chaos occured :hsdance:

Everytime I go to Hidden Valley, I sit at the hairpin, so I'd like to check out other spots.

Can anyone recommend a good spot for the action, and some good photo's?

I'll be there to take photo's :mamoru: - just been confirmed.

If any of the photo's come out good, I'll be making BIG prints for those interested. I'm not gonna charge any fee's or anything like that, just want the money back for the prints.

I've got one of those big prints of Jeff's R32, can't remember what I payed for it, but I think it was around $45? Looks to be about a meter high and just over a meter wide.

So PM me if you're interested :hsdance: - basically you're only paying for the prints - I get no profit out of it.

I'll be down at the pits before the drifting starts so I can meet most of you first - just to check out exactly what you drive so I know when to focus on taking good photo's :mamoru:

mitch_r32
Post #974

When you hear my car from the start line you will know :mamoru:

Jaqule
Post #975

What gear you use depends on your car and driving style , I used 2nd for most of the back section as I was running 260hp with a 3.9 ratio diff , so I didn't have the speed to be running 3rd except for the last turn, so just go with what works for you.
