Finally starting to use my G10 for what i bought it for... I was alittle bumed about it before due to the poor iso ability, but seeing what some of the pros are doing with the g10 (blair bunting) and the iphone camera (chase Jarvis) ive released what i want from the camera is a tool to work on my composition, seeing light and just becoming a better tog as quaility is something that comes down to the camera.

Here are som shots of recently taken with it:

How'd the new R34 look out there?

Was anything else hassling it? Would have been nice to be out there, had to work on my own car though otherwise nothing gets done! laugh.gif

#8 is my pick, love seeing someone just punch the shit out of a car that was built to get driven. I can see (or maybe I'm imagining it) some oversteer and smoke, but not drifting it, just wringing it bad. Mc-love it.

#11 is pretty good too but this could be mistaken for drifting, rather than racing.

Thinking about it, I think I'm a fan of the exit shot, not the entry shot.. Hmm..

Firstly, great pics as you always take!

Interesting. Looks like the R34 will do well with more time.

To me though, it appears too low. Can't say for certain without looking under it and seeing how much shock and spring travel it has left.

Anything with excessive power will oversteer but not having enough suspension travel will no doubt exacerbate it.

What did you think of the cars Matt, from a chassis tuning point of view? Not sure how much you enjoy the technical side but to me it's the most interesting part smile.gif

Its a serious car, suspension wise its got custom mounts all through it, personal i agree its too low, it couldnt launch over the ripple strips that you really need to do at oran.. Need more rear end grip it was laying down rubber every time it accelrated from a cornor... it did a 1:13 i reackon it would have another 3-4 seconds in it with more time

What shocks? I remember reading what it had but can't remember. Ohlins?

Interesting. Never seen them used but they wouldn't have gone half arsed.

I assume they have high and low speed bump and rebound because that is essentially what they need. It's what makes a car fast in most cases. BTCC, WTCC, DTM, even V8 Supertaxi's. I love bagging them out but underneath there's nothing taxi about them! If you tried to launch over ripple strips like they do in a car with even fairly high spec Coil Overs you'll end up in the wall! Same goes for any of those categories. It allows them massive corner speed and that gives them the exit speed onto the straight, where even more time is made. BTCC and WTCC aren't all the powerful but they'd give our Taxi's a good run which is all down to good brakes and chassis development. Using top of the line dampers. You're talking probably $3000+ per corner plus the dollars to tune them and getting them to work smile.gif

Anyway, this is a photography thread laugh.gif

Very true MCA is very popular with both the tarmac and gravel rally boys. Im assuming they went with them as Murrey is a QLD so some nice local support... The rally dampers are usually around the 5K per cornor mark with the external canisters.. They looked like they had all the bells and whistles would of easily been 60mm pistons in the shocks.

We can talk more over msn:)
