Its really great to see everyone a bit excited about the event. :happy: :happy:

There is plenty to do, and the committee will have a meeting to discuss some of these ideas just mentioned, and also create a plan of attack for getting everything done on the night, and we will need extra volunteers, any one wanna help? PM me.

We will have a general meeting on Wednesday the 15th April, 7pm, at the motorsports clubhouse.

There will be a private practice on the 11th April, and we will be practicing the night format, so there is plenty of time to get used to it, and its not a hard section to drift, but is great fun. Big downhill slides!!!

I think we should get 16 cars, and probably not many more, so everyone will get a chance to battle. If you get knocked out during battle, thats drifting. Could be worse, imagine shipping your car to Queensland and then getting knocked out at qualifying.

If time allows, I am sure we can organise something during the break if we get some non-qualifyers, but dont hold me to that.

Keep up the good discussions, and get those bloody entry forms in NOW!

well, practice days are supposed to be a closed event, its cheaper for the club as they dont have the public liability insuranse (because theres no public allowed) that goes with a normal day. We are supposed to have a cut off time that the gates get closed to help prevent public access.

But... if you happen to be on someones "pitcrew" you can cruise around and take a few happy snaps, shall I put you on my list of "pitcrew"?

Odd and hypothetical question. But would the normal format allow for a single driver to enter a pair of cars?

the 'normal format' normally means that everyone goes out.... keeps going for the 20 minutes or whatever, and then they all come back into the pits...

so if thats what you mean, then i don't think it would be possible, without swapping cars halfway through a session

That is crap as if you go to QLD and get knocked out there is a whole other section of track you get to use for the entire day. So pffffffft back at you shane make it happen buddy.......

BJ, there is only going to be 32 runs (if we get 16 people) and then it will be over, even if you make the elemination you can only get a maximum of 6 extra runs. which will last a total of like 10 mins, so people who dont qualify aren't missing out on much.

also, do you have any footage of everyone else?

I do have a little i will sort it out soon. Oh and its called sarcasm dude i know peeps are working hard to make it happen and i dont give to shits if i get eliminated its just an incentive to get better and push more boundaries.

I've still got a buttload (yes, that's a technical term) of tyres left if anyone's after any. Still got some 16's and 17's in there. Heaps of 15's and 14's too.

spoke with B Boss wheels again and there looking into 235/45r17 and some 16's as well in the price range from 80-130/Tyre plus freight and also some good steer tyres be it either federals/ or a race tyre at a good price. Will be doing a group email with Shane soon with all details to get some up here for the night drift.

how much cheaper do you want them at $80 for a 235/45r17 tyre? Our cheapest at Bridgestone is $176 per tyre?


They are in Melbourne so there for sponsorship is not really going to help as there not here. But they are getting on board and say they are only making around 7 bucks per tyre off us on the condition that we dont make profit off them.

If you want cheaper i will stop looking as its not possible.

the last tyres i bought, 'lexani's' didint even last 1 round!! then i put on a set of feds and dori'd the remaining 3 rounds! - must'av been dem china 1's u speak of..
