QUOTE(Kyl3 @ Feb 25 2009, 10:18 PM) 'editing' per se doesn't make the images any sharper or crisper than they are. You can a little but it's all about how well you actually take the photo. Skills > PP ftw I wasn't reffering to PP work when i was talking about sharpness, QUOTE(matt mead @ Feb 26 2009, 08:59 AM) kyle what you say is very true, but im a strong believer in that PP can make a great photo, excellent. But it will never turn a bad photo into a good one. I do abit of PP with it, but in all honesty i cant really tell you what i do as its just a preset i made for myself about 6 months ago. What i do is batch process them all and then use thumbnails (on a 24inch monitor) to adjust exposure if required. But when sorting i rank photos, all the photos i posted in this thread i ranked 5 out of 5. these photos are the ones i use on the net so i also give them alittle extra pp in the form of selective colour saturation and luminsoity adjustments. All the rest get exposure and batch treatment. This is all done in lightroom 2.2 Yea I have started doing that with my shots, setting a preset and just going through the ones that need a touch up and PP them. Although My skills are no where near as good as yours and my subjects aren't as challenging either. |

Had a commisson with www.rallyschool.com.au today for some new shots for there website. Here are two snaps. This has been my most challenging shoot so far. Success rate has to be very high due to the limited amount of passes the drivers could do with out interupting there normal schedule. Was so much fun and all my shit got so dirty. |

I love this set. The panning is spot on, perfect shutter speeds for what you're shooting and the lot. I love your work matt, always have, always will. |
