yes and no... yes there are heaps of better place to shoot it but the car is up forsale and the garage is where jacky and his father spent countless hours on the car to win 2 ipra titles and plus i like it tongue.gif

I see what you're trying to achieve but the shot does nothing for me. I think it's the location that lets it down, but I would be shooting in the same spot if I were you anyways haha

Thanks guys, its exactly what photography is about.... all subjective... but what it comes down to is pleasing yourself and your client....that photo does both that.

ill post up more when i finish them

I thought it was fine, you need the busy background quite dark so it doesn't distract from the subject..

Sorry mate, doesn't do much for me, the car looks PS'd onto the background, and it seems to lack contrast.

Yea agree on 14 - looks like he's a little out of control with the tyre marks. Qualifying lap? The mitsubishi looks alright tho - I like 5 a little, looks like it's hauling some serious ass. Just wished the font end was a little more in focus and the rest blurry like it is. Guess it's hard taking those kind of photos tho - fast moving objects biggrin.gif Nice job tho.

I think 11 is fantastic, great framing and feeling of motion without it being a panning shot.

All of your shots are so god damn crisp! How much editing work do you do?

Kyl3
Post #593

'editing' per se doesn't make the images any sharper or crisper than they are. You can a little but it's all about how well you actually take the photo. Skills > PP ftw

FC3S7
Post #594

loving 8 and 9 from the last set. thumbsup.gif

matt mead
Post #595

kyle what you say is very true, but im a strong believer in that PP can make a great photo, excellent. But it will never turn a bad photo into a good one.

I do abit of PP with it, but in all honesty i cant really tell you what i do as its just a preset i made for myself about 6 months ago. What i do is batch process them all and then use thumbnails (on a 24inch monitor) to adjust exposure if required.

But when sorting i rank photos, all the photos i posted in this thread i ranked 5 out of 5. these photos are the ones i use on the net so i also give them alittle extra pp in the form of selective colour saturation and luminsoity adjustments. All the rest get exposure and batch treatment.

This is all done in lightroom 2.2
