In all honest clutch, (and i say this while i bow my head in shame) i don't know the hp of my car and i get 205 from redbook specs... well the closest i could find to my model. but yes it has a 4.3Lt in it and i plan to get her dyno'd in the near future!

what year is it? if it's the later/last model with vvt etc etc i'd have thought it'd be more like 280-290hp at the flywheel

We are all laughing at you or the previous owner not only for trying to make there car a lexus by adding some badges but by putting the wrong ones on, if your going to keep them at least get a 'SC400' badge damm.

Take the all the badges off. Looks wayyyy better. New 3" zorst and a great cruiser. 191 fly wheel kw stock. Do zorst sounds great.

Thanks man, Yeah after the motivation of some of the posts I went down and checked me plates, it definitely is a 4.0Lt V8 1UZ-FE just wrongly rebadged! But yes I will shortly post bay pics. I'm going to be investing in the supercharged system I saw today at Bullet Australia down at Yatla...hopefully real soon. I’ll post the pics when done.

nice soarer mate..get some factory soarer matts for it and give that carpet a scrub up. Yes its not a sc430..about 16 years to old! airbag suspension model?? mines a uzz30,coil spring model...the factory power rating for the release of the soarer in 1991 was 191kw for the lexus sc400,and 194kw for the soarer. in the region of 262hp at the flywheel. A masterpiece of an engine for its time,6 bolt mains,all alloy,4 cam 32 valve,factory forged internals and the list goes on. Just missing a couple of litres displacement i guess. thats my piece anyway.

yea second hands the only way to get em. theres a set on ebay now. just search "soarer" Thick pile,the right shape,and with soarer inscripted,or lexus if your that way inclined. Often condition can be an issue with every set ive seen pretty grubby. The boot mat is the hard one to get. Become a member of soarercentral.com and planetsoarer.com dude,its a religion.

try soarercentral.com too.. they will give you the most help in finding everything you need if your not already a member.. I picked up some really good parts etc for my old soarer on there. Nice car - I remember seeing this one around cos it put mine to shame. Hope you enjoy it.

its a very common error with those lexus badges.
i've seen heaps of variations. i dont think people understand that the numbers on the badge actually refer to something...
i'd just ditch the GT-T badge.
i don't even have a GT-T badge and i've got a Twin Turbo model.

your right and your wrong, this car is a lexus. Soarer history states that the sc400 was the V8 version of the JZZ30, JZZ31 being the 3.0 non turbo version. JZZ30 = Soarer 6cyl turbo JZZ31 = Soarer Non Turbo.
UZZ30 = Lexus V8 UZZ31 = Lexus V8 with air suspension and the UZZ32 being the Lexus V8 with air suspension and 4 wheel steer.

However the SC430 was never a 30 series, its the 40 series that was released in 2001 with a fold away hardtop and completely different body shape so unless it has had an engine conversion done then it will be a 1UZFE lexus SC400
