MID January next year a date will be set a month out from the meeting so people will be able to join as a member and nominate persons for the committee that they feel fit for the job, i will personally make sure a post is put up so the wider drifting community has every chance to become involved and make the difference that is required to unify us as a group.
All positions are available, remember to check constitution as to vote you need to be a member, nominations have to be in a fortnight before, so i encourage you to be a part and make the difference. Remmember well all share the same passion.

so will that mean u will notify as a month before the AGM, so if we are tobecome members we have a chance then have a chance to vote, that way there's no inner club riggin so to speak ! cause hey we wouldn't ever think that's possible with in TEDA hey :(

Absolutley, would be very unconstitutional otherwise,LOL, this is a community association, there are very strict proceedures that have to be carried out in regards to forming a committee, every one will have an oppourtunity to become a member first and nominate and vote second, I will personally make it my duty to see that this is done for the sake of our sport and everyone associated with it.:P

Drift Australia today announced that the 2009 Championship will consist of a single round championship event to be held at Sydney’s Oran Park Raceway on September 19-20.

Drift Australia series director Wayne Boatwright said “The global economic climate has forced Toyo to batten down its finances and that means scaling back its sponsorship commitments for next year. Without a major naming rights sponsor a multi-round televised series simply isn’t viable so our plan is to conduct a single round championship in 2009. We are very grateful for Toyo’s support over the last three years and while this is obviously a disappointing situation we remain positive about the future of the sport and will focus our attention on trying to secure the backing required to rebuild the championship to a multi-round series."

More details regarding the 2009 Drift Australia Championship event at Oran Park will be announced in the near future.

The track is available more or less all year round for use, NAMSC just slows down over the Christmas/new year period as racing for 12 months straight puts a big strain on officials and competitors (and their respective wallets).
