Went to eastern creek for some go kart action, circuit club sponsors a drive. Im glad they do as it was so much fun, im going to apply to AKA for a photographer accreditation as i want to get track side. Action is so much faster and these kids push very hard. Was abit different shooting from behind the fence, but pretty easy as u get to be nice an close anyway u just struggle to get low to the ground anyway here are the shots: |

Fair enough. Yeah I checked on a few websites and they were all 'round the $610-620 mark. QUOTE(caseyjohnphotography @ Nov 8 2008, 10:16 AM) How much are they close to 1k? 14.7mp wow Psshh $1K. This thing isn't about the MP, it's about versatility. |

QUOTE(Fisher @ Nov 9 2008, 10:02 AM) It's been a while since I had a poke around here and all i can say is wow. This stuff is fucking awesome, I'm jealous of your G10 too, only prob with using one of those for work is that you don't command as much respect when you aren't wielding an SLR. Jesus Harry, you really waft in and out randomly don't you! My sister wants to sell her *ist Pentax and lenses and get a P&S, i told her to get a G9 if she can or a G10. |

You have some really great shots there mate, you add a much needed bit of artistic flare to racing photography, I just love it how you chuck the candid people shots in there to keep it interesting and different, after about 10 panning shots they all become white noise, I really enjoy looking over your shots though. They are techically brilliant but it's the fact that you go for some unconvetional angles and compositions that sets them apart. |

yeah and a 0.6 ND filter aswell QUOTE(Fisher @ Nov 10 2008, 11:53 AM) You have some really great shots there mate, you add a much needed bit of artistic flare to racing photography, I just love it how you chuck the candid people shots in there to keep it interesting and different, after about 10 panning shots they all become white noise, I really enjoy looking over your shots though. They are techically brilliant but it's the fact that you go for some unconvetional angles and compositions that sets them apart. Number 3, 9 and 17 are brillant but number 19 has to be my favourite. The only crit I have of any of them (not that I have any real credibility any more!) is in number 13, the cropping is too cloe to the nose of the car - more room should always be left in front of a car than behind it. Other than that, all i can say is gareat job mate. Thanks mate, after all photography is a form of art and its more fun adding some creativety to my shots. I hate having to sit there and shot the same frame of 50 different cars and then do the same thing at a different cornor. Pit lane stuff is half the job in my opinion. At first i never did it as i was scared of pointing a lens at people, i still dont like doing it but its worth it for the shots you get. 19 is my favorite aswell i would luv that shot wih a full v8 super car field going through it and the hill and grandstand covered with people would be amazing but i wont be able to get without media access yeah number 13 i wish i framed differently there was no cropping on that shot, but i kept it in as i luved the background more so then the car as the oran park control tower is all blured. thanks again fisher appreciate it. |

Went out to eastern creek today for national supersprint, i was actually pretty disappointed i thought there would be alot more cars there anyway it was good practice for the tasmin revivial next weekend. Behind the fence makes it so much harder at eastern creek to get good shots. oh well nothing you can do. Feel free to CC. Enjoy |

Maaaatty! That second HDR is great, the first one is good too but (on laptop so it's 99% likely to be the monitor) the handrail seems blown out. The second HDR shot, the clouds have been nailed by noise but it seems to be an unfortunate side effect in some HDR methods. |
