Well firstly... HUGE APOLOGIES to Damien and the whole McKern & Associates Team, Ang and Boostcruising members for not being able to make it out to Willowbank after confirming that I would be there to commentate alongside Mark...

Unfortunately I had major car issues arise on my way home from the Gold Coast on Saturday night after working at Stadium Drift. My you-beaut Turbo TX5 Telstar decided that it would crack the hose from the intercooler pipe to the throttle body and was loosing that much air that it was not boosting AT ALL.

I put $40 fuel in leaving the coast and there was next to nothing left by the time I actually got home to Springwood. Every 10 seconds or so, the motor would cut out and a warning tone would alarm and I'd have to get off the throttle so the motor would kick in again (mostly with a big backfire) so I limped it home late Saturday night. (Even racer taping it didn't help)

First thing Sunday morning I got up to try & borrow a car but with no luck so then I tried to contact the Track & Arron from McKern's but also with no luck. In the end, I tracked down Damien's number only to ring him to deliver the bad news that I wouldn't be able to make it...

I am so pee'd off atm because not only did I let everyone down but it seems like I missed a bloody great day of racing as well. Again apologies to Damien, Arron & Brooke, Ang and Mark for leaving you guys in the lurch...

yup i was talking to him and he took some notes on me and stuff, got the pamphlet of the info and stuffs.

also said i have a good chance of getting into the magazine. woohoo. that would be aweosme.

Hi all!!

Firstly thanks Ang! I had an absolute ball!
I bettered my time from last year...

Each time better... fist time was years ago (2000) when I bought my MR2 it was NA, did a 15.5...

Last year a 14.4

yesterday a 13.8 @ 100mph! really happy, but can do a little more to get a better time... next time!! hsdance.gif

got 6 runs and funnily blew the air hose between intercooler and intake as I was leaving the event... had to drive from Willowbank to Birkdale (Bayside suburb) trying not to hit boost as it would just die...

a bit embarasing driving on the ipswich motorway doing 80km/s (60kms on the uphills) blink.gif

Cheers to Goose XR6T to following behind me (slowly) to make sure I got home ok!!

More than happy with the weekend thanks for peoples choice award pulled little brumby out of the trailer sunday morning not knowing what it would run with new engine only to have a first pass of 8.95 @152mph new pb old engine run 9.70@140 so it was a huge gain thanks rob for uploading and recording run on you tube

Was a great day out.. i got sunburned haha.. ohwell not as many people in the stands actually watching as i thought.. alot of people just wondered about lol..

would be good to have a boostday more then once a year.. but organsing everything would be a big effort... and atleast it gives you something to look forward too biggrin.gif
