QUOTE(brind0g @ Jul 20 2008, 10:53 PM) Hey guys... got a bit of a pickle at the moment... trying to firgure out my cheapest options for the speedo... currently i have the 'heads-up' display with means digital speedo, no mechanical... RX7 Gearbox has a mechanical output thingy for the speedo cable... Is there something i can do/purchase that will enable me to install a cable or sumthing and still use the heads up display?? Or is there a mechanical cluster i can isntall? My bro had an old cluster from his 180, but it didnt appear to have the attachment on the back for a mechanical speedo cable... Thanx guys...!! I believe you should definitely be able to do it. Have a chat to a gauge/instrument specialist, they should be able to help you out. |

QUOTE(brind0g @ Jul 25 2008, 03:08 PM) Thought id let everyone know that i have found an american company called Dakota Digital that sell pulse generators, so i sent them an email, and hopefully ill hear back from them soon with some help... There is a place, whose name escapes me now, on Evans Rd, at Salisbury. If they cant point you in the right direction, nobody can.. OTTO INSTRUMENTS... Just remembered. On another note, conversion looks awesome.. Hope someone remembered to tap the back of the inlet manifold to pipe up your brake booster.. |

Wells hows this for ironic.. I sorted out my Speedo issue.. well i hope i have... Turns out the U12 Pintara (my current ride) has an electronic speed sender... SO i flogged one off a wreck, and it bolted straight onto the Mazdas gearbox... just get it wired up and hopefully it works!! STOKED ... Gave myself a nasty lil cut on the cat heat shield... not a bad effort |
