The most basic way to give it some loving if it's playing up is to drown it in WD40... pull the belt off, spray WD40 all inside it while spinning it.

If you're keen you can pull it apart and give it a more thorough cleaning, depending on the model.

You can also get them serviced rather than replacing them all the time. Many places recondition them.

There's no way to stop mud getting into them.. they have to have openings to operate, and the mud will just go straight on in there.

ohk no worries, i still have to take my air con out to take the belts off the adjuster is in the worst spot.

i have had it reconditioned a few times also, new brushes, bearings, stator, etc.

looks like ill just save sum money before i go mudding lol

cheers dude :bowrofl:

Finally got a flex pic of my rig after fitting the drop out cones and some brackets to hold the springs in to stop them from falling out on the tracks. Body lift will be going in this weekend to stop the 35's eating the body.

[attachment=498053:attachment]

its not much to look at, got to do a few little things, such as, work out why when i depress the brake pedal, the right indicator indicates faster, why when i first start up the car, and flash the high beams the cd player cuts out. and then just a few other things like fix surface rust, put in my mates old body lift and shorten, narrow and cut the headboard of the tray.

hope you'se like it, cause i sure do

EDIT: She's A diesel aswell :bowrofl:

Boof,

What extended shackles and springs your running?

Also, with ya shackles. How do you go about putting them on without your diff rolling? Different diff locator bar??

If that makes any sence for ya mate.

Cheers

booflux
Post #3771

Hey mate the shackles and springs on mine are from www.locktup4x4.com.au
I had to relocate the rear mounts due to the extra length, I am not sure what you mean about the diff rolling? The diff is attached to the springs with a Ubolt flip kit the springs locate into the hole in the perch on the diff still, just like before. The flip kit just gets the bolts up so its another thing not to catch when wheeling.

Its a little play area out the back of Springfield. Its a bit of a local haunt there is some really hard climbs in there that some well known trucks have played on for testing in the past.
