just got back from kuraby for the first time. lots of hilly rocks to play on.

i went to kuraby yesterday for tha first time but thought they had all entrances blocked, but i didnt check tha one right next to tha gateway, is that open?

give ya a hint
come off compton road onto allingham st
go over the hill and at the bottom of the hill head up the little dirt driveway,behind the houses and up thru that way,head around to the mulch hills(fun) then take one of the dirt tracks on the right

if your going in go via the underpass on beenleigh road cant miss it.

there is new streets in there, they have started to develop it, i think i know where u mean but, i will go in at the underpass, your not sposed to go in there but ay? not that it will stop me

GOTTA BE A LUX just letting you know that all QR utes,4wds and such are marked with a medium sticker on the front doors,most of the 4wds they use these days are rodeos,hiluxes,couriers and landcruisers and you can definately see the stickers on them... i have to detail the dirty things so i know what they look like

My 89 diesel lux, just got it the other week needs a little more lift to clear the tyres and some other mods.... lockers, longer brake lines... turbo... with the cash flow the project shall expand. I just want to get out wheeling.

i just went back an read your post that u put up for me a few days ago of places to go, under springfield u put down intermediate to experienced so if i go i will have to take sumone that knows a bit more than me. cause i havent rele been 4x4in for that long. but i will def have to go an take a look.

btw i heard its not the safest thing to go 4x4in after rain, an especially while its windy, fallen/falling trees and such. so hopefully this wind pisses off soon.

if its raining or has been raining its fun etc but its best to take recovery gear and a mate
springfield when wet has a great mud puddle that you can play in and wont get bogged but has a few climb that in the dry its hard enough,most of that place is moderate with hard sections(optional had stuff) the tacks in and out are almost 2wd stuff if dry but def 4wd if wet.

thought id go try out kuraby since ive never been there before, was very good. sweet hill climbs and tracks the first couple of pics are from kuraby.

Went out to a place called chuwar near ipswich yesterday didnt get any pics was alright few hill climbs, mud and sand and scored some damage which are the other two pics.
Went down a track that came to a dead end i reversed back, tire went into a hole and as it was coming out over the other side the mud guard was pushed into the tire and got caught and then ripped off as well as my flare i wasnt too impressed, ive noticed that the rear tires come pretty close to the the mud guards when the suspension comes up so i have already taken the other one off looks dicky but ive rather that then rip my guard and flare off again the other side.

Hey there all, finally decided to join up to the forum after lurking in the shadows for a few months. I joined specifically to be involved in the great 4x4 forum on here. I'm based in Ayr in NQ but regularly travel down to Emerald and up to Ingham (and further soon). My current 4x4 is a 2005 Toyota LandCruiser 100 Series (v8 ULP) after swapping from a 2001 100 Series Turbo Diesel. It's a work truck admittedly but the aim is to have another rig of my own as soon as the finances allow.

Just logging in to say G'Day and, I know, I need to post pictures ASAP.

Anyway, here's my old wagon - "debadged" for the moment as it is normally covered in Company livery. Has Outback Roller drawers in the rear with 1700W inverter, water tanks stashed in the rear bodywork, dual batteries, and, while I had it - 3x Hella Rally 4000's in the bar and a Roof frame for carrying Base Station towers and ladders and the usual gear for work.[attachment=428997:attachment]

anyone know of any wreckers that arent well known that would have an 80 series cruiser? im still looking for a LHS rear flare and all the major 4x4 wreckers in brissy have none as well as the 4x4 wrecker at southport. any other help would be good, i have tried ebay also nothing
