yeah mate i was ttossing up between buying a skyline and another ute or wagon, but when i found out insurance was 3500 for the skyline. it was back to a forby(glad it took me that to relise i wouldnt last without one), and i made deal with my self not to buy a nissan :) that ute came up for good price and only been on few dirt roads in its life, it ammaculant.

Plans are in order:

Front airlocker(maybe rear to, just wanna help the ifs get traction)
2inch suspen
2inch body
33's or 35's on some mickey tompson II rims
diff gears
whinch
bb turbo(as its petrol i want more go)

And a nice short tray and maybe a tube bullbar

heres my day

damage overall:

My new trans cool setup isnt working and my AT light kept coming on and it def was cooking the trans oil
only bent my side step.

GU copped a nice dent and scrape on door but minor.

landy kept bending hus tail lights no biggy

overall was quite simple day of wheeling with plenty of good buts in between.

im running 235's MT's they are all on 35's

except the gold GU his on 3inch lift but GU's always sit higher then GQ's anyways

plus the flares make it look small

Hahaha you children, still trying to fight for your little cruisers that need diff locks, I found the best piece of Toyata recovery equipment yesterday in the bush, it was a fold out chair, that way you can sit down while your waiting for a Patrol to come pull you out of a bog.

hey dickhead... i dont know if youve noticed this or not, but this thing going on between me and hoon69 is called FRIENDLY rivalry..... meaning all the comments are made in humour and between FREINDS.

hoon and i know both our trucks as just as capable as the other...

and who gives a fuck if i wanna make my truck go even better by fitting a locker, just means i can now do the same tracks as before but without spinning wheels ect...

bloody hell,i think we should all know by now that EATU4T and HOON just talk shit all the time between each other,fun and games is what it is so leave them.

toyota vs nissan has always meant to be a friendly rivalry between mates,anyone who takes offence to it is a sore loser who obviously has some insecurities about the make of car they drive

i was gunna try get out this weekend but seems the patrols f'd a oil pump in the trans so its off the road for a week or so at minimum so i might go fishing/boating instead. :)

this was a non related issue,never had the problem before the trans cooler went in,though it seems it "may" be the oil pump not pumping enough fluid through etc.

damn AUTO's shoulda bought a manual now :)

your talking to toyota owners they are usually old retirees and pensioners in their tourer type toymotors,they are always a firey bunch.


but this is the young brady type toyota owners, they bag nissans yet get our diffs etc they envy our flex and accessories then tell us to buy one,

i feel for em too mate :)

JADE: mine got that hot you could hear the oil sizzle and the dipstick was steaming :P

shit yea. old hilux still wont die... speedo stopped working ages ago so who knows where its at now.. but everything works.. i even managed to over take a few people yesterday (was going into the red to get the speed up... but it did happen!)

diffs blow up in toyotas more often then nissans
also 80's hilux blow heads more often

do i need to continue guys? :)

they both have flaws,but nissan are the stronger of the 2 fellas :P
