ON HOONS

In regards to the 'hons' driving at speed into coolalinga united has station on sunday. I am just curious how you can get a car load of hons? Where all of them driving at once? Jc wanguri

Hoons this, hoons that. Get off our backs yes there are bad ones but your forcing us out of the places where we feel "safe" and causing us 2 hoon on the streets

Visit any city and u wil find hoons on roads, unjust price rises, scum robbing elderly and infirm. I doubt u'll a Lord Mayor who would personally reach out 2 help the downtrodden, ie 'Esplanade Castaway'. God bless u Sir. Scotty, Darwin

On Hoons

Trashed Mercedes. Those kids should pay back money even if it’s $3 a week for the next 30, 40 years!

Good on the good “hoons” (heroes!) for raising money for Mitch Ormston. U have reminded us that many fast car owners have a heart too. Pat on back!

Lee Point isn’t the only drag strip. Trower Rd 2wards the beach end also used by w**nkers driving at high speed especially at night.

The revheads rally is a good show of heart. You will find there are heaps of youngsters willing to participate but unfortunately they need incentive. “Hoon” is used too often, people who show off and crash cars are just stupid.

Re: The good the bad the ugly. It is a pity that the guys and girls of the community who were out raising money for a good cause are still labelled hoons. These guys and girls were out trying to break down the stereotypes of car enthusiasts and people wiv disabilities within our community and were still labelled hoons in our media. Why label all good hearted young adults trying to raise money as hoons? We followed all road rules, and raised money for charity. A more positive spin on your story would have been nice. SAM

Good to see the “young car enthusiasts” doing a charity run 4 a good cause. Shows that some young ppl that drive cars have a heart. SIKUNIT
