They use both optical and radio - the built in will always fire, there is nothing you can do about it. Thankfully it only fires at about 1/128th power so there is no real impact on the shot, it has never been an issue for me. That SB-800 is a bloody great flash! I just wish mine was working I have sent it off to Nikon, god knows when i'll get the bloody thing back! |

Doesn't work wonders for me. In my opinion, between the obvious blown out street, car park whatever and the darkness around you there is nothing that keeps me looking. |

QUOTE(parko @ Sep 9 2007, 10:37 PM) Harry, would you have any idea what it costs to have your image sensor professionally cleaned, by Nikon techs I guess? My brush went overboard and I have dibilitating dust smudges. Still shots 250-odd shots the other day but mostly f/2.8 to f/5.6 etc. I got mine done for $35 and it only took an hour. I was very happy with the outcome. Thanks heaps for all the feedback, I see what u mean about the OOF people. I had a look at the original and they are as sharp as a tack, the OOF appearance came in the pp, I might have another crack at fixing that. I agree with what Parko said, I did find that it lacked any strong middle ground, it is a bit too 2D. I think I'm a bit out of practice when it comes to recreational shooting. Harry I found the comp in this shot works a little better: What do u think? Harry |

I actually prefered the comp in the first picture you posted - if the guy on the left was slightly further to the left it would have been even better. The second one of the same scene lacks a focal point compared to the first. |

QUOTE(TD 06 @ Sep 10 2007, 08:45 AM) coffee one rocks, may i ask with the dude with the coke bottle, was he asleep or something, did he hear your camera??? ive always wondered if people get pissed off? Cheers for the feedback mate, that guy was holding a coke bottle full of spray paint, he was chroming and was so high he couldn't stand u. He had no idea i was stitting next to him with a camera, he couldn't see! He's one of the easy ones though, I have been chased in London by a drunk bum and sworn at in South Africa by kids on the street who wanted money for the phot. In general though, people are often just too polite to say anything and let it go. Chris, thanks for the great feedback mate, I agree with on on all points, I need to find a better location so I can get shots with more even lighting and better R-O-3rds comp. Harry |

i woulda said that the shot of the man on the bench could have been from as slightly lower angle, but maybe this was not possible. |

QUOTE(parko @ Sep 14 2007, 04:45 PM) I think the second last has potential, just a little flat at the moment. I totally agree, i think i need to get to a good computer some time soon (I am between computers right now, it sucks ass!) and have a play around with it some more! Cheers for all the feedback, all taken on board. Harry |
