they turned ot pretty well. from this guys video i saw it looked pretty bloody dark out there.

about the only thing to to is bump the iso up, run a fair slow shutter and flash on full compensation. good work though brian they look good

nice work Brian, love no.1 looks cool

might have to bump up to iso1600. Since the 70-300VR only goes to like f/5.6 a you will always struggle with shutter speeds at night. Shooting at f/2.8 would give you 2 stops faster shutter speed, and could help you maybe leave the ISO at 800 and get away with it.

Im not sure, but i wouldn't bother with teh flash, probably too far away to make any difference.

But you have done really well considering. Good work matey

these tight kart tracks they have started using are pretty close to the action so thats why i mentioned the flash. with brians speedlite and these tracks it all helps.

i know personally even though my speedlite's range is to 105mm when shooting at 200mm it does still make noticeable differance

but its really just play with settings and see what works

Tried the flash it helped sometimes but not really a SB-800 may have been better as i have heard they can reach a further distance but as Moment said 5.6 don't cut it i really think a 18-200mm 2.8 would have been pretty sweet and allowed me to up the shutter a bit, but yeah was still a great night so if they do it again i'm there damn that's another lense to add to the list *sigh* lol.
ISO was at 800 any higher it got pretty grainy.

can u bump it to ISO 1000? does urs have that option?

the pics look absolutely spectacular. ive only just worked out how to work the ISO for each situation.

Ghetto Panda
Post #328

Yeah i can go up to ISO 3200 but at 1000 they where getting pretty darn grainy.

Brilliant set man, best for a while. I am loving the bouquet you are getting in your macro shots, great DOF in them.
The sharpness and contrast looks great in them all.
My favs are number 1, 2, 5 and 6. Although I am drawn to number 2 the most but I have no idea why.

All taken at Underwood Park they have some great flowers at one end and a little further down is the lake with all the ducks i sat on a wooden walk walkway that runs across the water just sitting there waiting for something to happen lucky grabbed the shot of the duck.

might have to check that park out.

I dont want to say anything coz i am an amatuer compared to your work but the red foot distracts me in the duck photo. I loooooove the photo but the red annoys me.
