Why did you not buy some mandrel bends to do the cooler piping. Not a fan of all those ugly welds.

ive got alloy donuts but cutting them is a pain in the ass and getting them right is a time consuming process

and its shitload cheaper just to buy a couple of mtrs of 3in pipe and cut little pieces off at 5 or 10 degree angles

anyway all the hi hp power jap cars always lobster back alloy or titainmum piping

Couple more days work and the transformation is complete smile.gif Boot it has been hard out trying to finish it off as were trying to get it done for a run at jamboree facesjump.gif Not expecting the best time, but more like a see what it does for now run. Doesnt help with having rock hard suspension (set up for drift) and low profile tyres. Suspension more suited to drag and more mods will be coming up in the folloing months. Off to smashies(dr. Kustom) on the 7th of Augaust to finish it off.
Once again thanks Jase for putting in a solid effort with the conversion. biggrin.gif

Here you go. Just some more pics that '321cya' took for us to have a looksy.

Heres a few pics for use to have a look at. I will be putting some up each week from now on. Its taken a while to put some up due to ive had a few virus's.

The doors have had the handels shaved and also the top and bottom body lines removed. There were also the usual dents and bangs that were taken care of aswel.

Here they are blocking down the rear gaurds due to the fibreglass gaurds are a little wavy, also going over the joins make sure there all flush n schmicky.

Guys are working on to fit the aftermarket fuel cap.

Boot had to be looked over and done again as the other panel shop welded the holes from the spoiler closed which then sent the boot to warp. Spoiler holes and badge hole were done over again.

looking good tongue.gif

question - why didnt u just buy a bunch of aluminium donuts instead of cuting and shutting all the angles to make the bends??

coz i like welding tongue.gif

ended up being easier (and cheaper) to cut up straight pipe at 5 degree angles than cutting up donuts

Just some more pics on how things are going.

Roof, Boot, rear gaurds, fuel cap, doors are now finished. R33 veilside \rear bar is cut and ready to be moulded into standard bar.
Alot of the time spent on the car has gone into getting it straight.
Whats left is front gaurds to be lined up properley and blocked, bonnet to be strengthned, modify front bumper and mould/finish rear bar. Then ready to be painted biggrin.gif

Well to start off with just with a cat back exhaust, pods, intercooler and 14-15 pounds of boost will net ,e around 240-250 rwk with aftermarket computer would bank on about 260. Drive around like that for a while get a feel of the car again as its going on 10months now, change some things go different turbs, thinking about 2530's and going for 350rwk. Ive seen guys make more on standard internals but dont wana push my luck to far. But weel see what happens, if the tune is looking healthy ill go for a bit more.

yes at the moment as its not worth doin a full exhaust coz hes upgrading the turbos (or turbo) after a few months of drivin on the road

Still atleast a 3inch off the dump pipe would be smarter.

and let him waist $700 to do twin dump pipes to the cat i think he,d rather spend it on the turbo upgrade

as he might change his mind on his choise on the new turbo(s)

Only performance mods been done as it is are cat back exhaust, hybrid intercooler, custom pipeing, twin pods, walbro 500hp fuel pump, turbosmart e-boost, jim berry custom clutch. Just the usual i suppose rolleyes.gif

For tyres just some 275 Nankangs for grip at the moment, with fully adjustable koni's at front and cusco adjustables at the rear which will arrive tommorow or friday.

As for when it will be finished another 4-5 weeks and will be complete:bowrofl: biggrin.gif

Next mods will be when its going are computer, cam-gears and dumps. Im going to go for some Garrett GT2860R's - 5, which are hks 2530's equivelent, some new squirters and rb20 afm's.
Wind up the boost and be happy with about 360rwks, maybe more. See how things go i guess. ohnoes.gif

Always good to hear nice comments biggrin.gif thanks.
I decided to go with the gut instinct and with some of your comments in a last minute desision to change the front bar with a more 'easy on the eye aproach' and trying to keep the overall look, a neat and smooth well presentable car.
The front bar is a series 2 trial front bar that erin from jdm garage hooked me up with. Ive got a pick attached for use to have a gander. With this bar not being as big and as low, this will let me lower the car a little more and not be digging holes in the bitumen like a bulldozer like the other front bar. Aslo less time mucking around getting it ready to hit the road.
