Thanks for all the positive feedback, this city is pretty damn photogenic! I am loving it!

number 11 is unbelievable harry, such a perfect shot.

some others seem very everyday and not nothing very intriguing in the frame, but number 11 makes up for all of those ones.

so jealous right now.

I love number 11! You've posted up some awesome stuff Fisher. Hahaha but as u said, Paris is one of the most photogenic cities in the world. It just helps that you can actually take advantage of that smile.gif
Keep it up, Nic xx

#5 looks great (how wrong can you go aiming a camera at that) but #11 is an excellent shot as well.

The lines in the image work wonderfully and the colour in the jacket contrasts very nicely. You've filled the frame nicely.

The kid in the first one looks like he's trying to sell u cookies or something hahaha. But I am a big fan of number 9 and 11. The colours are awesome and the old man looks like he's hell concentrating on something.... I can imagine him jumping up like he's just won lotto after u took thee shot hahaha. You've got some great stuff in Paris so it sucks ur not staying longer BUT Switzerland had many a hot babe for u to photograph... so ur sister can have a break for a while : )

Hrm the only thing I might say tho is number 12 looks a bit like the photo of the guy has been stuck in front of a cheap bg. I don't really know why.... Also think u shouldn't have cut off the feet.... but considering thats the only photo I haven't like in about a hundred years... very well done : )

Enjoy Switzerland Harry!

I have been resisting the urge to comment as your shots are getting better with every batch you post, good work Harry, your stuff sure is getting better, better focal points and better composition etc. Keep it up.

Thanks man,
I am trying...
Unfourtunatley I have been pretty sick for the last couple of days. What a shit time to be sick! I was stuck in a chalet in Switzerland, unable to ski!

Here are some pretty average shots from when i took my camera out for an hour on day 1.

This was wack! --->
2. 3. 4.
86km/h side wind--->

They are not the best, but still, tell me what u think....
Some better ones will be to come. I am back in our house in London now so I'll have some spare time to get some.... as well as borrow the beloved Nikon 70-200 VR and Nikon 12-24mm and i might give the Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 a go too...

would have framed the bloke in number 1 differently, put his body in the right hand third of the frame, that way you'd get all his legs in! By the looks of it, i think you've used too low an apature... as the depth of field is far too shallow. probably stop down to f/4 for extreme sharpness from that pro glass. Any chance you could sneak home the 12-24 and 17-55 for me?

I must agree Twist, I look at them now and I am really not impressed with myself. They are pretty slap-dash. I think this flu is getting to my head!

Moment,
I agree with u on that pic, I was using f/1.8 on my 50mm, not a good idea, also crap framing of him.

Casey,
I love Ronza's work and I must admit I do follow his style, although with less sucess. That is most likley because I gain my inspiration from many of the same places and I am fascinated by the same themes of people and urban decay, generally set against one another.

Some new ones wil be up in a day or 2. cbf processing right now... I am slightly drunk, therefore v. tired.

I woke up a bit so i thought i would post up my shots from today. Despite being 1.31am here.

I thought I would try a Ronza style layout (I am copying everything else from him so why not one more tongue.gif )

"Escape the Rain" Nikon D80 with 18-200mm @ 18mm, 1/8sec, f/3.5 ISO250

"White noise" Nikon D80 with 18-200mm @ 18mm 1/5sec, f/5 ISO100

"Outsider" Nikon D80 with 50mm f/1.8, 1/40sec, f/3.5 ISO640

"Temptaion" Nikon D80 with 50mm f/1.8, 1/160sec, f/2.8, ISO1000

"Taking a Hit" Nikon D80 with 50mm f/1.8, 1/160sec, f/2.8, ISO1000

What do u think of these?
Am I still too sick? Have I still lost my judgement?

Fair call.
It was begining to bore me, but I must say going backwards and trying to get good at a new style is fucking hard!
I think I might go out tommorow and get some non-people ones.
