    I believe this combo with a larger carb and a decent shot of gas for strip duties should see 320?

    Why?? My 308 just dyno'd 292rwhp @ 6500rpm in Darwin and it isn't fully worked, so 320rwhp from a 355 is rather average....

    Kept at it bloke. Good to see old school still rule. thumbsup.gif

    Yeah but not that one! It's still got the standard intake manifold,carby and mechanical fuel pump on it.

    Of course but not the way it's sitting in that engine bay!

    Why don't you tell u more about your combo? What crank, rods, pistons, cam, compression, valve size, head porting, etc,etc?

    Nice externals on the fuel guzzler! You must be spending a few bucks!

    Glad to see you are actually painting the thing properly. Just that alone will crank it in value! thumbsup.gif

    engine specs for those interested,
    60thou over block, stroker crank(not sure who's, bought it as a short motor, has 355 cast next to no1 main journal) forged flat top pistons, internally deburred block, hi vol oil pump, custom grind camshaft around Crane 288 specs, B cast big valve heads, mild porting, machined for double springs, Nason valves, Maxitork springs atm, match ported standard manifold.

    Plans for after Xmas;
    Roller rockers (a must for this cam me thinks!)
    Edelbrock torker manifold
    Carb upgrade maybe 750cfm
    Under carb plate type gas setup (only for strip runs, when it gets that far!)
    Not sure whether valve spring quality is good? Any thoughts?

    Thanx for all the positive feedback!

    better put some new valvesprings in her (crane - compcams ect) if she drops a valve it's all over
