The way I see it, if you can afford to spend shitloads of money on your fooly sik car you can afford to just go hire a dyno with your mates. For the guys with 4cyl NA cars, this is ALSO their chance to see how their cheap mods have paid off. Anyone can buy a fast import, but there are other enthusiasts out there who prefer to buy a regular car and do something different. I have plans for the future with mine, but for the moment, i'll be there with my POD and catback wasting your time... Your post made me laugh but yea i agree with you 110% Also some of us are on 1st year apprentice wages.. good luck buying a highly modded import with them wages! |

95.1 HP QUOTE(sil_8_0 @ Aug 27 2006, 11:09 PM) mine had issues tonight, only made 265hp but that kingswood that made around 725hp was only running 4psi. insane, the turbo hangin off it was rated to 2500hp could fit your head in it. Ahh, Blue Sil80? Sweet ride mate, I was the one in the 'Rolla right behind you. I got on the dyno at 9:30pm! 3 FWD's made to go last... |

QUOTE(r33skyliner @ Aug 28 2006, 12:53 PM) i can see why - bunch of low powered cars took up the majority of the list. While I get where you're coming from I also think you knew this could be a possibility. The dyno day was open to 'anyone' not invite only as some dyno days are. For the price people wanted to get on and see what there stock or otherwise cars would make. |

i think you will find a lot of the low powered cars would be cars like civics and tegs. most of the poeple that do this may have been getting a base read out as they may be interested in moding and seeing what performance changes they are getting out of the mods. i have a base tune chart and a ecu installed retune chart. its personal choice not what other people what to see. but it is a shame you didn't get on |

I have to agree it was a great day and reasonably well organised in the end. Although i had to wait till 3rd last to get my car on the dyno after they decided to run all the FWD cars except me and two other guys But in saying that i took out highest HP 4 cylinder NA and agree with others the prizes were great. Props to the organisers and sponsors, i hope there is more to come in the future. A think a fair few ppl got picked up by the boys in blue because i heard they had all exits covered at one stage and were pulling ppl over and defecting them, they were being pretty generous tho from what i heard, which i guess is fair but also them being there revenue raising probly wasn't the best for public relations.... All in all good day and well done to the winners of the other categories and everyone else who entered or came along for a look |
