I think you will find that the U11 CA18DET AWD version is the rare one.

This just looks like a normal jap fwd taxi.

that plate your refering to is the import plate, means it was complianced in australia on 10/95, thats not its build date
    these were produced between 1984-1986

    DERP.

You said it probably could be, but he (the guy that owns the car) TOLD YOU what it was. Even I (not you) can see it's a CA18ET.

You work for Nissan? I'm a little worried mate.

When I go to select the engine for the U11's in FAST I'm seeing the options: CA18S, CA18E, CA18T, CA18DT, CA20S plus a few others. Assuming the CA18T is the one we are looking at. The U11's definitely came with it in the SSS-X model. There is also part breakdowns that describe the CA18ET in the U11 engine index.

Paint it orange and purple and put GTR badges on the interior. Problem solved.

    According to VIN

    U11 10/86 with a ca18t motor it is classed as a SSS-X model

Your a knob mate I was never arguing the point and the CA18T motor is extremely uncommon, I have never seen one in the 13 yrs I have been a parts interpreter.
Your argument is that I work for Nissan so what Imports are not commonly known to come into a Nissan dealership, in fact I have been working at a Nissan dealership for 2 1/2 years I have only seen 5 since then being worked on there.
Most imports go to performance shops not Nissan Genuine for repairs.
