Hey guys what do you think of the mitsubishi evo x bathurst edition by TMR. My old man is thinking about getting one. I know these have been around for a while. Price will be around 78-80k for the top of the range mr with the six-speed twin-clutch SST transmission. Good thing about this is its covered by warranty i know these days if you do the cat or headers see you later warranty.

In conjunction with Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited, TMR are now releasing the Bathurst Edition Lancer Evolution. This special vehicle has the TMR engine upgrade which produces 247kW of Power and an eye watering 436Nm of Torque making it the most powerful Evolution Lancer ever sold in Australia.

What I want to know is why your dad buys 70k of perfect automobile, and puts what looks like Advanti wheels on it.

The auto part I can understand. Hes too much of a girl to handle a 6sp.

Which brings me to the conclusion, he may not be able to handle the 'eye watering' torque of the rice burner, let alone double that out of a 6.2 Donk.

My 2c.

I personally would spend 80k, on a Merc, BMW or GTS, Maybe even a R35 if you could snake one, DEFINATELY NOT A PRETTY LANCER

IMO the evo x doesn't look aggressive enough, when you see one on the street they just look like a regular lancer. The old evos always looked a lot different to a regular lancer.

Keep the ve

80k for that?

I'd just buy a 9 and spend what's left over making it a shitload faster than the "bathurst".

They look to much like a wannabe racer car, like the new rex's. Keep the VE. Bathurst or not, still looks like a "pretty" vrx ralliart IMO.

Not really. I'm in and out of them daily and it's significantly higher than quite a few other manufacturers.
That being said, I wouldn't buy a 10. Evo 6.5 + $20k in mods = something significantly faster + $40k left over.

That's such a stupid statement though, that's like any car.

$500 ke70 + $79,500 in mods = significantly faster.

You still have an $80k KE70 where I have a $40k Evo that would have significantly higher resale value :) True Evo's died at the 6 for me.

Good bit of kit, as far as I know they still have the factory warranty. But don't get the competition brake pads... unless you want to hear the sound of squealing pigs every time you pull up to the lights.
