I wonder how much it would be to get a Dodge Challenger imported? Or can you get them at the Chrysler dealerships? The base model in the states is only $23,245USD. Plus import and steering conversion. |

Pity, great looking cars. |

Farking hell. If you go to the Dodge webbie, the price is from $23,245. $90k? Thats some serious up marking. Unless, it's like the SRT version. But still. They have to pass ADRs and crash testing. That is why they are bullshit priced. If there were no Commodores or Falcons, I am sure they'd be up for full volume import Lol, Yeah, as much as I love the BA's BF's and FG's (FG F6T. Yum) I'd still go a Challenger just for the style, if they were at and equal price. THey kinda remind me of and XC or XB Falcon. |

There is a company that does nothing but bring them in and convert them. You're looking at around 100k converted. You can only get SRT8 versions, but that's fine as it's the only one you'd want. |

If there were no Commodores or Falcons, I am sure they'd be up for full volume import No need to pass crash testing since they passed American crash testing. This is the number one reason why the RHD conversion has to be immaculately done though, any small changes alters the way the car deforms in an accident and then the car DOES need crash testing(which is ridiculous since the car will be crashed) Farking hell. If you go to the Dodge webbie, the price is from $23,245. $90k? Thats some serious up marking. Unless, it's like the SRT version. But still. They are very nice cars, I've seen a few in person. Sound the part too. Lol, Yeah, as much as I love the BA's BF's and FG's (FG F6T. Yum) I'd still go a Challenger just for the style, if they were at and equal price. THey kinda remind me of and XC or XB Falcon. RHD conversion on a late model car will EASILY soak up AUS$30K(steering, head light parabolics, dashboard etc) then factor in transport costs, customs duty + GST, then rego etc, $90K is about damn near right... the conversion shop might make around $7K(not including profit on the labour for doing the conversion etc which is fair enough) which when you consider the outlay before they even get paid for the car... is worth every cent as far as I am concerned. Now consider how much Dodge would sell the Challenger SRT8 for in Australia when the HSV GTS sells for $75K or so |

Any new american cars over year "X" have to be converted to right hand drive and it aint cheap Year: 1981 onwards need a RHD conversion It is also not just American, also applies to European cars as well |

And, TBH, I'd be happy with the R/T or the R/T Classic, no real need to go all the way up to the SRT8. I think they'd make a killing on it, if it was sold at dealers. There's nothing like it in the aussie market. I mean, there's HSV and FPV, but, they aren't styled classic like. Might be getting a bit off topic though. xD |

I just test drove a new WRX today. Premium Model, Leather + satnav + Sunroof, they retail for 48k get one for 45 easy or less. Felt really nice, Super quick aswell, even if you get the base model, put like 5grand into it and it will be just as quick as the STI for quite a bit less cash! |

carnt go wrong with the f6s very nice to drive and look at and well made drive around town in all day, and plus you absolutly destroy any hsv or v8s, also get it simply tuned and put maybe $1500 into a turbo upgrade like bigger inturnels then they make amazing power for a cheap and ezy upgrade and wont put hardly any strain on engine can power on allday everyday |

Have looked at them, not exactly my cup of tea styling wise, but a black one with cream leather, seems okay. I'd like to speak to someone who owns one to see what they are like. The G6e Turbos are great cars, like most of the FG lineup. I used to work for a ford dealership so I've had a fair bit to do with them. We had a customer who had one with near enough to 550rwhp from just a 4.5' exhaust, intake, cooler and piping, modified wastegate and a tune. As i see it the only problems are the fact they're auto and they don't have an LSD. Don't get me wrong the ZF 6 speed is a fantastic gearbox but personally I'd prefer the control of a manual with that much power. Also with the LSD, swapping one from an XR6 would not be difficult. They're great cars all round. They look awesome dumped on some good rims and even in stock form they go. That'd be my choice. |

For a stock car its very quick and puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it, its also put together very well, no rattles lol, do yourself a favour and go test drive one, you have nothing to lose. Also with very little kms on it, it pulled 270rwkw, they are not 310kw at the engine I'd never buy one, but no arguing with the performance. There is little out there that will meet an F6 bang for buck-wise. |

^^^ yeah that isn't true. Also the 5k into a wrx making it just as fast isn't either. Maybe in a straight line the wrx will keep up with the STi but as a whole braking, handling and accelerating package nothing beats a genuine STi I recently did 180kw@wheels from a completely stock MY11 WRX... even the stock exhaust. That is stock STi killing power and the 5 speed ratios are a little better for acceleration as well. Sure, braking and handling are a let down compared to the current model STi but as I mentioned on previous pages, an 06 or 07 STi with $5K into it will make 220Kw@wheels easily. |

We were talking stock. What did that 180kw translate to in the 1/4 and 0-60? 0-100k's is a 4.82 according to the ECU datalogger and confirmed by my PLX OBD gauge. Was a relatively soft gearshift too. Took me around 5 hours to get the tune spot on on the wideband(stock AFM has airflow shift, long story) but the customer was extremely impressed... also has better fuel economy as well. 1/4 mile is a little hard to say, as the owner is a 29yr old workmate of my missus and I doubt she will ever see a race track in her life. |
