not sure on the legitimacy of this report - it's something that you'd more commonly associate as having happened in America, but no fcuks given if it's true he was shot by someone that they were pranking. QUOTE Jalal Brother Shot While Making Another Fake Bomb Prank
The Jalal brothers recently gained massive notoriety after posting a series of videos to Facebook where they dress up in Arabic-style robes and hurl suspicious parcels at random strangers while running off and sparking panic in their targets. The brothers, a group from Melbourne, Australia, call themselves the Jalals and just yesterday posted their third bomb scare prank video. The reactions they get are typically the same – the victim running away in sheer panic whether out of their vehicle, up an escalator, or even into a body of water. This time, however, they apparently got a different reaction while filming for their fourth video. One of the brothers, Arman Jalal, was shot in the stomach after ‘pranking’ the wrong man. The incident occurred late Tuesday night in a parking garage in East Melbourne. The brother is said to be in critical but stable condition at St Vincents & Mercy Private Hospital. The man they pranked, Scotty Southam, 31, is currently being questioned by Victoria Police but there are reports that he will not be charged. |

QUOTE Kurt Russell Confirms He's In Talks For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2
Not long ago we learned that Kurt Russell was director James Gunn’s number one choice to play Star-Lord’s dad in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. This is something that it seems fans would love to see! How awesome would it be if he were actually cast in the role!? Russell recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal and was a guest on Wolfpop’s Happy Sad Confused podcast to promote The Hateful Eight. In both interviews, the actor was asked about the reports of him possibly joining the highly anticipated Marvel movie. This is what Russell said on the podcast: “I literally got a phone call two days ago about this. I’ve never seen Guardians of the Galaxy so I don’t know anything about it. Many times I’ve heard ‘That’s a really fun movie, a really good movie [with] great characters.’ I don’t know it! So, I didn’t realize that [James Gunn] had written and directed it, but we talked to each other on the phone. And I just had to be honest and say, ‘Thank you for considering me, I have to read [the script], and I have to watch the [first] movie because I can’t bring anything for you [right now]. I’ve got nothing to offer here. So, I’m amazed to get asked about this because everybody knows more about it than I do... it’s a little weird.” I’m sure he’ll take the time to watch the movie now that he knows he’s wanted. Hopefully, he likes it and the script for the sequel is to his liking, because Russell needs to be in this movie! It may not sound like anything is moving forward in his comment above, but he confirmed with the Wall Street Journal that he is actually in talks with Marvel. “It could be a one line thing for all I know. But yeah, we’re talking about it... there’s just nothing to talk about at the moment.” He’s joking about the “one line” thing. Of course, he’s going to have more than one line in the movie. This is obviously going to be a major role! There’s no official word on who Star-Lord’s dad will be in the second chapter of the story, but there have been a few rumors and lots of speculation. I'm excited to see who he might actually turn out to be! Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5th, 2017. |

Our home for Christmas.Fairmont le Chateau Frontenac in Quebec. We at least got here while it's still white, so I'm claiming the white Christmas achieved. It's going to be warmer and rainy tomorrow so might wash away. Impressive building! It's a bummer when the snow starts to break down, and have the consistency of cow shit, especially if you're driving on it.We nearly had a white Christmas on the northern tablelands here yesterday evening,Stanthorpe and surrounds had some large hail storms, with more predicted over the Christmas period

http://www.msn.com/en-au/entertainment/mov...RxZS?li=AAgfVR9 QUOTE Avatar sequels finally heading into production early next year
The sequels to director James Cameron's monster-hit 2009 film Avatar — all three of them — will finally enter the production phase starting early 2016, the director recently announced. "The writing is ongoing, but almost finished," he told the Montreal Gazette. "Technical development is done. Stages are done. Infrastructure. So we're really poised to start after the first of the year. Cameron, who's also currently working on an adaptation of the anime Alita: Battle Angel, reiterated that the second film in the budding Avatar franchise is still eyeing a Christmas 2017 release. He first confirmed that premiere window earlier this year, when he said that the three films would be pushed back from their original 2016, 2017 and 2018 release dates. Instead, Avatar 2, 3 and 4 will arrive starting in Dec. 2017, with each subsequent film to premiere just one year after the last. This is thanks to the shooting schedule, which will find Cameron directing each film simultaneously. When it debuted in 2009, the 3D spectacle's popularity ballooned to unforeseen heights; it remains the highest-grossing film ever made, having made more than $2.7 billion worldwide. Which movie takes the number two slot? Another Cameron work, Titanic. There's one film threatening to overtake them both, though — Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which recently crushed several box office records, namely those for biggest Thursday preview night, opening weekend and Monday earnings. We'll have to wait until 2017 to see if the ambitious Avatar franchise — each film of which will operate both as an overarching narrative and a standalone, according to Cameron — can repeat its box office success. |

sounds like he says cousin' to me, despite what they're saying in the 'update'........ QUOTE Rey’s True Identity Revealed in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Disney Infinity? Update: It's been pointed out that it has been confirmed that Kylo Ren says "curses" NOT "cousin" because it's a reaction to him being hit by Rey. She's still most likely Luke's daughter, though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! Original article follows: There has been a lot of fan speculation regarding the lead character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey, and who she might be related to. It looks like her true identity may have been revealed in Disney Infinity’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens expansion. If you don’t want to know what her possible relationship is with the characters in Star Wars, then don’t read ahead because of possible SPOILERS. Of course, if this bit of information has been put into an official Disney game then Disney obviously wants you to know it. We’ve already been told that everything involving Star Wars since Disney has taken over the franchise will be considered canon. Below you’ll find a video featuring gameplay from The Force Awakens Disney Infinity game, and in a section of it, we see Rey fighting against Kylo Ren. At around the 20:30 mark in the video you hear Kylo Ren yell at Rey, “Face me, cousin!” So there it is. If the game is following what the movies are doing, and these characters are really cousins, then that would confirm that Luke Skywalker is Rey’s father as a lot of fans suspected. After all, the movie was full of heavy suggestions that this was the case. I was personally hoping for a different outcome, but that’s ok. We’ll get to see how this reveal plays out in Rian Johnson’s Episode VIII, and it will be quite a shock for her to learn the truth, unless she already knows it deep down inside. There’s always a chance that Disney Infinity could have made a mistake somehow. We’ll find out on May 26th, 2017 when Episode VIII hits theaters! |
