Just too beakey. Yep, seen that.
Car and driver is predicting 560HP, 0-60 in 2.7, 1/4 in 10.8.
Other things I don't like: the engine bay. Why have an exposed, show engine like that and a crappy black plastic cover? Also I have a few doubts about the interior.

On a related note, as part of this vehicle export I now own half of, I'm considering shipping/selling NSXs from Japan to the US. Average auction price is 20k there, average sale price is 55K in the US...

you need to work on your car salesman skills wolfie. it's the best NSX model since the wheel was invented !!!! mamoru.gif

When you consider it's sold as a four door family car,and yet it can cream a V8 Supercar,in a drag race with comparative ease,I would say yes.Shame they're not an overly good looking vehicle, and don't make any sound,I don't think I could put up with the silence. unsure.gif

It certainly is 'beaky',if you compare it to the new R8,but I don't mind it,to me,both vehicles to me are going a bit overboard with the honeycomb mesh though.Supercars need more than six cylinder engines,in my opinion, you need that ominous rumble, not the sound of a hyped up vacuum cleaner

Girl in suitcase was daughter of woman found in Belanglo forest, police say

The identities of a woman and a girl, whose remains were found dumped in NSW and South Australia years apart, have been revealed following a major police breakthrough.

Detectives from NSW and South Australia revealed on Wednesday that the little girl found in a suitcase in Wynarka this year was the daughter of a woman whose skeleton was found in the Belanglo State Forest in 2010.

The woman has been identified as Karlie Jade Pearce-Stevenson and her daughter as Khandalyce Kiara Pearce, from Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.

"Karlie was a single mum and had moved away from her family with Khandalyce between 2006 and 2008, intending to travel and work," police said.

"Investigators have confirmed Karlie was last seen driving a car with Khandalyce on the Stuart Highway near Coober Pedy [South Australia] on Saturday, November 8, 2008.

"At that time, Karlie was aged 20, and Khandalyce was aged two."

A joint agency operation involving homicide detectives in South Australia, NSW, the Northern Territory and ACT has now been established to investigate both deaths.

NSW Police Homicide Commander, Detective Superintendent Mick Willing, said the pair were last seen in late 2008 and were reported missing in late 2009.

"Karlie's mum had reported them missing on September 4, 2009, and it is understood she withdrew the report six days later on September 10, 2009, after she was reassured Karlie was safe and well, but did not want family contact at that time," Superintendent Willing said.

"Police were told Karlie was sporadically in contact with her mother, but the contact became less frequent over time, and sadly, Karlie's mum has since passed away.

"Even after this time, the extended family believed Karlie and Khandalyce were safe and well, living interstate."

Detective Superintendent Willing said the NSW and South Australian homicide squads were working closely to complete the picture of Ms Pearce-Stevenson's life, particularly since the birth of Khandalyce in 2006.

"We are appealing for assistance from the community to help us identify their friends and associates as they travelled throughout Australia, as well as landlords, motels, caravan parks or campsites where they stayed during this time," Superintendent Willing said.

"Anyone who owns or operates these businesses is urged to check their records and help us piece this puzzle together.

"We have numerous lines of inquiry to follow, and while we will do our best to keep the community informed, we need to first establish fact from fiction and ensure we avoid speculation, which could damage our investigations," he said.

Wednesday's announcement came after detectives in both states have been running separate investigations in a bid to identify the females.

In 2010, bones were found in Belanglo State Forest. Investigators later revealed the bones belonged to a woman and that she suffered a violent death due to certain signs on the bones.

For the past five years, homicide detectives have been exploring many avenues in an attempt to identify the woman, who was dubbed "Angel" due to the shirt with which she was found.

In July this year, police in South Australia were faced with a strikingly similar situation.

The bones of a young girl were found in a suitcase on the side of the Karoonda Highway in Wynarka, about 120 kilometres east of Adelaide.

Police said the girl was aged between 2½ and four - and there was little doubt she died a violent death.

Commonwealth records were trawled through, missing persons lists exhausted and images of the aged and tattered clothing released to the media.

But they were unable to identify the girl.

On Wednesday, South Australia Police head of Major Crime, Detective Superintendent Des Bray, thanked the community for their support so far with the investigation.

"Both SA and NSW detectives have had excellent support from the community to help identify Karlie and Khandalyce, including nearly 1300 Crime Stoppers calls for each case," he said.

"In addition, we have received great support from our law enforcement colleagues across the country and from a number of government agencies in our respective states.

"It is with everyone's assistance we have reached this very important breakthrough, but it is important to note the identification is only the beginning of the investigation.

"This is one of the most shocking crimes imaginable; one that has not only devastated a family, but also had a terrible impact on the wider community.

"Those responsible for these horrific crimes remain among us in the community, and they must quickly be caught and held to account for their actions.

"We need assistance from people throughout Australia who may have seen this young mum and her little girl travelling around at any time over the past 10 years," Superintendent Bray said.

Police want to speak to a man seen in the area on April 13 and May 26 with a dark suitcase about 60 centimetres long and 40 centimetres wide.

He is described as being aged about 60, of Caucasian appearance, average height, lightly built, clean cut and neatly dressed. He was not known to locals.

Yep,totally agree with Wolfie,on that, they seem to have taken every aspect of the R8 that used to make it stand out, changed it,to the detriment of the entire vehicle, and turned it into something resembling a highpowered Beehive
Are Mazda bringing out a new RX7?Will be interested to see what the do. ph34r.gif

A new RX7 would be amazing, unfortunately I don't think anything will be revealed in terms of new and rotary powered this year.
If anything, a concept that will never make production.

What's people's thoughts on the new NSX? I didn't like the concept, but now that I've seen the somewhat toned-down production version, and more importnatly in black, I may be sold. Front is still 5/10, but the rest looks great.

It looks alright to me. Its just the design has already been around for 5 years+ even before it has been fully production ready. Getting a bit old already.

ON another note, I cannot believe people are paying 100k pounds + over ticket value to get their hands on a new GT3 RS.
That makes it in the territory of a 650S and the Ferrari F12 unsure.gif

i wouldn't be so sure about that, mazda's 50th anniversary is coming up for the rotary engine. although i'd concede that there's been a number of 'rumours' for the last few years about 'the latest so called project'. it's basically now or never in my books whether or not they ever get it back into production.

Yeah, though it's changed quite a bit since the 2012 concept. The final look has only been around a year or so...and was supposed to be out by now. They delayed it a year....sad.gif Good reason though - upgrade from transversely mounted NA V6 to longitudinal TT V6 smile.gif

'Mythbusters' to End After Next Season

Entertainment Weekly reports that Discovery's long-running reality series will come to an end after 14 seasons. The stars, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, have planned an "explosive" final run of episodes.

"It was my greatest fear that Mythbusters would just stop and we wouldn't be able to do proper final episodes," Savage told EW. "So whether it's myths about human behavior or car stories or explosion stories, we tried to find the most awesome example of each category and build on our past history."

"Mythbusters" was a hit for Discovery in its early days, and received much critical acclaim, as well as seven Emmy nominations. It is credited with helping to make science accessible and interesting for a broad swath of people.

Savage and Hyneman, who famously do not get along, will tour the country for a last round of "Mythbusters Live" next month. That will likely be the last time they work together.

The final season of "Mythbusters" will premiere January 9. And the Science Channel will run a massive marathon of all 248 episodes starting Dec. 3.
