Console operators at Servos get a decent bit of coin especially if they do graveyard shift etc. This day and age you might even get danger monies oopsie.gif

Honestly?

Servo attendant. Get paid shitloads.

Yeah, really? I'll look into that. Don't know if you've been reading what I've been discussing but I'm planning a switch from concreting into an electrical apprenticeship.. Hopefully next year, but most of the electrical apprenticeships on offer have all asked for a pre-vocational course which is 6 months full time. Hours are like 8am-4pm four days a week.

Are you gonna be getting government monies or you out on your own?

I don't like the idea of being out of work for 6 months even though I'll be full time studying.. My idea is to save money to support myself and pay bills throughout the 6 months of study, but ideally even if I save enough(23k ph34r.gif ) I would still rather part time work so I didn't have to spend so much of the savings.

The more left over in the savings the better then I can buy nice things. hsdance.gif ph34r.gif

Just working in a shop. BigW, Woolworths, Coles, Bunnings. Whatever. They usually hire a lot of students and can work around your schedule. I used to work at BigW in the afternoons and on weekends when I was doing my pre vocational course.

Fair enough.
I asked because when i used to work in clubs i worked with guys that only really needed minimal work on a friday and saturday night which worked out with their study and went well with their student allowance and whatever. Also convenient for most major clubs that only have busier periods through the middle of both friday and saturday nights only, so you can start work at a decent time and leave as soon as the crowd starts to lull.
Not for everyone but is a very social fun way of life.

@Twincam - This what you were referring to about my grille? Looks pretty mint tbh!

mark1414
Post #584

it went all day. I think from 9-4.30 monday to fridays but we used to finish early a fair bit. I cant remember the price but it was not very expensive. what to expect? well you spend the whole day with 25 other males. it sort of reminded me of school. I found what we did not that challanging but some of the other guys had trouble with some of the maths. you should probably brush up on some basic maths first if you didnt do well at school. also we dif lots of practical activities outside of the classroom, you go to a workshop area and wire a few things up, make an extension cord etc.

Mo Problem. Sounds like you should be alright. The good thing about it is you don't have to do any homework or assignments outside of class and its not a very difficult day so you can easily work a few hours after TAFE
