Peachester is more or less a place to warm the tyres these days. It's got a lane closed (been that way for atleast a year). And there's new drains put in across the road everywhere, so it's bumpy. But still not THAT bad.

I've only done mt mee once sad.gif haha. The run I do most weekends, I rarely see a cop at all. In the year I've been riding road bikes, I've seen one cop on the good stretch (not gonna name the road, but it's a very fun stretch at speed). If/when we go for a ride, you will know lol

Thats not the really long straight out west is it?

Nah mate, I do know where you mean though. The one just outside Conondale? There has been a camera right at the end of it once or twice though, right before the left hander at the end.

Maybe i shouldn't open the bike up on that straight now.

I think there is a long straight on Mt Mee drive aswell.

Braided brake lines any good?

Yeah long straights don't really interest me lol.

I don't really see the point in braided lines. My gsxr pulls up good factory. Might feel different once I get a thousand though.

try motomummy.com

I get all my accessories off there
Got a set of ASV F3 Unbreakable levers for $150/$160 from
Memory. And I'm pretty sure Pazzo's are cheaper.

I have dealt with Motomummy, highly recommend.

If you want something a little more local, try Rated R on ebay, if he has it in stock, damn he gets it to you quick, have bought a lot from him. He is in Perth, but sends everything express.

on the topic of braided brake lines (i have just ordered a set plus a heap of other stuff for my 07 CBR600) they are brilliant from what i've been told and make a massive difference, on the road i never have any problems with my standard brakes but now i have started doing trackdays i get brake fade towards the end of my sessions,

i live on the Gold Coast and have never ridden brisbane twisties before, i know all the roads down here by the back of my hand i am real keen to go for a ride with you guys up there asap nice R1 by the way mate!!

yer braided lines do make a difference I am still yet to get some for both my daily and my track bike. I know what you mean about the brake fade towards the end of sessions kinda sketch lol also happens a few times when your pushing up the twisties thats scary haha

I was getting a bit of brake fade on my last r1(stock Brake system). A rotor upgrade helped this situation alot!

Dont have any issues at all with the system on this bike.

When r we going for a ride guys?

Lets say next Saturday starting in the AM? What area would we meet? I'm at aspley - Always like doing Eatons Crossing road as a warm up smile.gif

If weekdays are preferred I don't start work until 12noon Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

That depends as people are scattered throughout Brisbane, the best possible way is to pm each other so the police don't have a field day defecting us for some pathetic little attempt to raise money for their christmas party.

Anyone be keen to do a Thursday night run? Just for a look not to tease cops.
