AMG options more like it. I was told on friday at Mercedes Gold Coast when I got it serviced, that when you got the "top of the range" model brand new.. you could purchase the AMG package... Its factory, and it comes up "AMG A190 W168" when Mercedes type in my VIN. |

I didn't know MB had an AMG A series? Does it still have the 92kw engine/tune? Wheels don't look to bad on it though Neither did I but I looked into its Authenticity prior to buying it.. We are the second owner. Engine wise im not sure if its the standard 92kw or not... |

Nferno, I owe you a debt of gratitude. I never would have found this on my own. I have no idea whether or not any "AMG pack" A class was ever produced, but I suppose it's possible. That would be what this is though, not an AMG built vehicle. For a start, its model designation ends in "0". Either way it's hideous, and refering to "german engineering" when speaking about an A class (or as I refer to tem "Badge Class") is slightly embaressing. Edit: I am a Wolfman, obviously. GAME. SET. MATCH |

I drive an 05 C200 W203, I realise the A-Class is the base model... and I dont think it was ever designed to be "WOW" but its still German engineering. Mercedes build quality cars, regardless of the class its still a Mercedes. |

I'll put STI badges on my Impreza. Research into your own car wouldn't go astray... YOUR A WANKER. and yes I did research. I know it wasnt built in the AMG factory. I said its an AMG option package purchased when new from Mercedes. |

After further research I don't think there was even an AMG "pack" available-which would make sense as they don't usually include an "AMG" branded exhaust. Are there any other "AMG" details on the car? Steering wheel, headrests, etc? If not, I'm afraid you've been sold a standard A class that someone stuck an exhaust and wheels on. Thems the breaks! |

You're. I can read what you wrote... My comment was referring to how gay it is to have an AMG badge on a car which isn't an AMG Who are you? I like you. |

The woman was in her late 80's, Her late husband got the car brand new in Sydney. Witch is where I flew down and got it from last week. She was the original owner and I highly doubt that elderly couple "modified" the car. To be honest I haven't gone searching for engine tags or anything else to back up the story... It has the body kit, massive sunroof, 5 Genuine AMG wheels, the exhaust, and the bloke at GC MB said it was Legit.. He said they did offer an AMG styling package when purchased new, and it come up on the computer when he entered my VIN. along with all the other optional extras it got new... |

Howdy, recently got this for my partner. German engineering is second to none, its a well built little daily. Its fairly rare to find an AMG model with the massive sunroof, pretty awkward driving a manual WITHOUT a clutch too LOL. Thought I would post up now and get some ideas, got it last week and so far only done the stereo and tinting.. I want to put it on Airride suspension and mass dish steelies, give it a "streetcarnage" look. I was going to partially de-badge it but given its rare, I think I will just leave it as is.. Any criticism is welcome, Im fully aware its not everyones cuppa-tea... But she loves it and I actually dont mind it... You really do prove how stupid you are with every post you make. Enjoy your German engineering...... |

Hmmm....now that you mention it, it DOES have some kind of interesting side skirts going on. Perhaps it's legit, and just a particularly half-arsed "AMG-packing" by MB. Who knows? |

Either way, you should have gotten this: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...bus&trecs=3 Same size, same build quality (actually better), ACTUAL exclusivity, better in every way come to think of it. Hell, a year ago I would have sold you mine for 15k! I never understood why the company bothered to keep selling the A class after they introduced the forfour. Guess it was a good move though, because the forfour died out and the A class is still around! I didnt mind the A-Class possibly because it wasnt a poverty 140. and its more decent looking then the rest of them ive seen, so if she wanted one i wanted to get a nice one (it hurts saying that about an a-class lol) its ugly but id prefer that in my driveway over a yaris... and that was her second preference. I did actually see the Brabus on carsales, and if i was into little cars i would consider it... lol it looks fun being so light and boosted. But im quite happy with the C200 and even more happy its not parked beside a yaris. |

Actually, the forfour is pretty much the same size as the A class...and in Brabus trim is better featured, with a far nicer interior. |

Even if it is a "legit" AMG kit, I GUARANTEE that it didn't come out of the factory with that badge on the back. Most likely the dealer put it on to help move the car. PLEASE take it off. I have an M-sport BMW that I don't feel the need to badge, and I used to have another AMG car in all but name, which I ALSO didn't badge. |
