We came back into Brisbane with it around 9.30 this evening, I'll let Benno fill in the details

Foot notes

- Ballina KFC represent
- You can build 1/2 a Mcdonalds and still call it one
- Smithfield is the Australian Capital of VTEC y0 !!!
- There is no eye candy in Smithfield at 7am of a Saturday morning
- Corolla drivers wish death upon themselves while trying to late turn infront of a Navara towing "insert bogan mobile here" on the back
- Kempsey is an absolute shithole, where some of the people could masquerade as wildlife
- Teabags

This has been a comedic production by Bogans Anonymous / VTEC Yo !!! / Flied Lice You Plicks

I think what he is saying is that smithfeild is full of wankers that cant drive and full of ugly women .
And that kempsey is full of inbreads .

Ben has bought a completely original classic car..... you should all likey.

HSV
Post #1302

Yes indeed, a new car.

Its a genuine 1967 HR Holden Special "X2", 60,000 genuine miles on the clock and in extremely good condition all around and damn near 100% original.

In fact the only things that aren't original are the period correct Dragway wheels and the CD player and the dodgy install into the door cards. There is a new radio blanking plate that came with it though and I'll have my mate redo the door cards.

It even has the original vinyl flooring in the boot and the original spare wheel in brand new condition that has never even seen the road, as well as the original owners manual. Interior is bog stock original too, never been retrimmed and has the fancy (lol) X2 dash cluster as well.

Only thing I DO have to do is get another bonnet for it as old mate neglected to tell us that the bonnet had come up and wrapped itself over the roof, bonnet appears to warped to me to save so will now have to chase another bonnet up for it. Doors close like its brand new too.

Couple of pics, haven't washed it etc yet:

Looks awesome man, very nice find. Almost worth all the dicking around with the other ones you went to look at, haha.

Are the seatbelts original or upgraded to retracting ones? Can't tell on this screen.

Optionals in front for 67, someone has retrofitted these though as they are retractable.

Someones fitted what looks like EH ones in the back as well, which means I can take bub out which is good.

Nice buy ben! Looks to be in awesome condition for the age. My rust guy said something funny to me as he was hacking into the Nova. You'll like this.

"This thing is in pretty good shape for a car built in '67. Think about it, it's like a HR. Now you go and find me a HR that hasn't either been hacked up or isn't riddled with rust and bog."

So yeah, can i borrow your car for a week? biggrin.gif

Dont worry mate a friendly joke that went totally sour

As i said before if anyone could give me some insight on doing this mod to my ute it would be much appreciated. I want to remove the rear wall cabin of my hj ute and make it so it goes straight down from the window rather than on an angle. I then want to plate up the bottom of what will be come a rear parcel shelf. Here is a photo of what i want done.

I have heard that cutting in the rear wall of the cabin is illegal, but would it be legal if it was done by an engineer and a mod plate is supplied?
And also can anyone recommend a good engineer/panel beater on the gold coast.

Cheers

Just a quick question guys, is there much of a market for Kingswood SS's?
Also what are they worth approximately, in good, un-restored condition?

Ben's would be coming up to 'vintage' bogan where you're talking about 'modern' bogan

Just because it's an older vehicle doesn't mean it still ain't bogan ... for reference mines 'classic' tongue.gif

A Torana is MUCH more bogan than a HR....not that there's anything wrong with bogan, as long as it's classic bogan, NOT modern bogan!

Sweet looking HR
Be gentle with that 3 speed crash box, with the pound shakin 145 HP (Rover ride ons should be packing )

Theyre very hard to get , specially good 1s

Looks like the indicator stalk and housings missing
Atleast the indicator repair sections are made nowadays
Well worth the wait ???

Correct, it's missing, just trying to figure out exactly what is missing so I can replace it.

And yes, well worth the wait for this one.

Looks great, kinda makes me regret selling my HR. Was absolutely mint except for small bubble in the paint. It had full re upholstered interior and smiick paint job. Sold it to some old man for $6.5g.

How much did your HR set you back?

The bits that usually break are now avaliable from rare spares
The actual intercator bit is the same as EH,HD so a good 2nd handie should be maybe easy to get
The outer plastic housing and stalk are the same as the HD
The problem with the outer plastic housing is the little tabs on the inside break
(I think theres 3 or 4 ??? brain fade)
Just make sure you get 1 with all the tabs

Wait ... going from a 400 series SBC to an even smaller LS ? Is this due to getting a lighter engine ?
