LOL this shows you genuinely didnt go then. As there were a few imports out and about, and a couple of them even entered in the cruising session.

No one really appeared to have a problem with some of them being there, as its to be expected and they kept out of the way ect.( <---take a note JDMST people). It got stupid when the commodore cruise 4 charity track event had skylines in it....

how the fuck are you supposed to know that? if the JDMST guys are that strict then maybe they should approach EVERY photographer/person with a camera at their meets and tell them. otherwise how are you supposed to know?

you can't say its obvious either... considering he hardtuned.net meet got posted up, which is a forum specific meet (unlike harrys etc)

and i do recall a Blue FPV BF ute chirping 1st and booting 2nd while exiting the area all in plain sight of an attending security guard.
this is the unwanted negative element that this community and all car enthusiast meets in general are trying to discourage.

Yes. you have a powerful car that is moderately Performance orientated, guess what i have one too, so does that guy and that guy, that guy, that girl has one as well as do most people in the vicinity. So obviously we don't need proof of what they can do.
a simple idiotic act such as this can draw negative attention from the public as well as event hosts or local law enforcement.
thus possibly resulting in either unnecessary patrols or monitoring causing occurrences of fines and defects to illegally modified cars.
or even the refusal of entry to certain locations.
e.g. 2005-2006 PINELANDS Coles, the police regularly patrolled through it taking down plates and even the centre management went as far as hiring security to defend against after hours entry to the car park.

So well done to JDMST for going about it the right way and gaining co-operative authorisation from Centre management / Body Corporate of intended locations before hosting such events.

i would have removed it out of courtesy as per the organisers' wishes, but boostcruising has always been selfish that way.. can't just let people do their thing without sticking their dick in it.
people on boostcruising need to start organising their own events like they used to! no need to crash others then. what happened to the boost drag day and such? i also remember a pretty good charity cruise back in '08.

didn't you throw some guys keys in the water at BWCP? wouldn't you have preferred to keep that kind of element from coming in the first place?
i'd hardly call it elitist when any car can come.. it's not hate on boostcruising, it's just that boostcruising is so popular it gets a lot more traffic than the quieter forums!
problems arise when management allocates the top floor only for parking, and then blow ins who just grab the address off boostcruising park everywhere and fuck future chances of a meet.
i don't see why everyone gets such a massive chip on their shoulder about it.. the organisers have valid reasons.

That's the thing though, instead of ragging shit about people coming, tell them what the go is.

It's supposed to be enthusiast's, instead its reminisce of elitist shits who think they are better than anyone else.

I agree wholeheartedly that there needs to be more cruises, meeting spots etc, but whenever somethings posted, the same people rag the fuck out of the person trying to organise it, so nobody bothers.

The logistics of creating a cruise under Boost's name is phenomonal, the user base means that shopping centre carparks just don't cut the mustard, and due to similar groups like the JDMST guys fucking things up previously (not specifically JDMST), it makes it twice as hard to organise.

There are plans in the pipeline, and they are big plans at that, however enthusiasts and idiots alike are craving somewhere to go.

Like it or not, word of mouth will ultimately lead to the same thing as what forums do, it's just a matter of time, and if the JDMST pack rats thought about it, they would encourage more people to come alone, try to control the dickhead element, and create something, instead of trying to bury something as a underground NFS bullshit thing.......

Thats odd, i've frequented Highrollers since 06 when met 2 of them down the spit and got invited to a club dinner, back then just a totally stock standard car and they were more than happy having me along, After that i attended most meets, dinners, shows etc. My car was not one of the show cars which is the only area they discriminate in due to it Being a car show display and they do have an outstanding record with many awards, so i don't know how you can really blame them for keeping up the displays and good work. Their cruises meets whatever, not once did the guys running it care which car i showed up in.
At smaller events like the Car sound offs at autobarns around the coast and Bris they did displays and provided the car was clean well kept they had them grouped together on display

great part about them is they have a genuine interest in cars and great support and help over the years, along with advice and recommendations as so many of them have done the hard work and effort and can advise accordingly to lead you on the right path.

JDM meets i wouldn;t mind attending just so as to see and appreciate the cars out, but honestly it shouldnt matter what car you turn up in, just be thoughtful to have your car away from the true JDM cars or group so they know your there 2 appreciate it, not try 2 get it all mixed in to take away what they are trying to achieve
