572ci + Kinsler set up You're a evil evil man for putting those thoughts into my mind, haha. But if I were going for a new engine then...... Holy overkill Batman! .... I dunno if I could go past a 632! Very jealous mate! But congrats on the promo! 2 years till I finish my apprenticeship and then I can start making the real money. But anyway, just thought i'd leave this here since the aussie dolalr is creeping up nice and high http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/ (Should watch the vids on youtube of his cars. 1500hp on PULP and they drive like daily's!) cheers dude! and yeah, I used to (and still do) ogle over their engines / cars all the time, but decided against it when I decided to try a pro-street style look with carby. But now all of that is out of the window anyway.... As cool as they are, probably a bit out of my reach for a while at $40k worth or so. Either way, all of the above is getting done first and the car on the road so I can atleast drive it (been killing me), will either buy a crate engine or take it off the road and build the 402 after that. |

All that stuff is going to waste if you aren't My pro touring front and rear are in fabrication now. Wilwood front and rears are ready to ship. All my stuff from summit and classic industries is on its way. It's on! Seriously though, that would be pretty sweet once it's all up and running. And I haven't really decided on the transmission - everything is pointing towards me switching over, but if I decide to go lazy I will be (trying) to replace it with something special either way. But most likely will be. Sounds awesome! how long til you reckon it's up and running minus the manual? |

But yeah, depends when all the shit turns up. Seeing as its coming in a container with a few engines that my uncle has bought. |

Jordan, if you are serious about a motor, I have friends, send me a pm when you are ready for that. Sweet as, cheers dude. Will see how things pan out. Regarding the seats - didn't have a chance to get any metal last weekend (old man's bday celebrations) and will be out at powerplay tomorrow - am still keen though, will call once I find some material. My goal is powercruise in september with the auto.. But yeah, depends when all the shit turns up. Seeing as its coming in a container with a few engines that my uncle has bought. Awesome, with any luck will be there too, providing everything goes smoothly (unlike everything thats happened up til this point). yes! leave it N/A so i can keep up. but do something trick with the carby's, like: haha, I don't want anyone keeping up And as cool as it is, it's covering up all the nice shiney bits! If only staggered style trumpets were good for everyday use. |

Well in the next couple of weeks i will have pretty much all the money i need to do the interior in my ute, the biggest problem is the seats so i am asking for advice. At the moment i have premier buckets in her, i sit way to high on them an i desperately need a bit more leg room. My stepfather has full sized racing buckets in his tonner and they give me the perfect hight and legroom so i have been thinking of getting similar seats. A fellow boost member "asia" suggested retro racing seats, the only problem is i have no idea where to find them and also i think they will be pretty expensive. Another member suggested commodore seats but the problem with them is they wont really give me any more room than the premier seats will. So i am asking what seats should i buy for my HJ ute also the price and a place to purchase them. |

Dont be a tight arse? Just save up a lil longer and get the better ones the first time. You'll save money in the long run if you end up buying them down the line anyway. They look better in my opinion but its your car. do you know anywhere i can buy the retro seats? these are the ones i like |

cheers, too bad that specific seat wasn't on there. I have never seen a low back seat in a ute so i dont know if it would look odd or not you can buy them off minisport.com (one of the few seats that fit in mini's..) i'm not getting them because i need headrests for rego (and not getting whiplash..), and they look fuck ugly with headrests http://www.minisport.com.au/category66_1.htm not all that cheap, might want to source them elsewhere: http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10423 |

The early commodore seats VB/VK are lower and aren't as wide as std/prem/statey seats , you will however have to drill three new holes for each seat to fit them . I'm 6 foot and have never hit my head on the roof . |

Except I have a big ass steering wheel (Stock WB one as I got defected for a GTS one ) that I hit my knees on ocasionally. |

GTS were a factory option , how did you get defected that ? Short bastard They weren't an option in the WB's. This bastard knew his shit. Was a DOT inspector at a defect station. I was just lucky to get away with what I did. He was moreso impressed by the fact that the whole car basically had new parts through out and was spotlessly clean and everything worked except for the little things I got defected for. (Indicator bulb blown and my horn "didn't work", I didn't actually have one......) Made a comment on the lowering blocks, there bigger than legal. Had detailed it that weekend and was a Monday morning, also the only day I happened to drive the ute to work as my laser at the time was getting serviced that day. Typical |

Im 6ft 2 or 6ft 3" my legs always hit the stock steering wheel my head is about an inch from the roof. I think i am just going to get some commodore seats. Preferably some leather ss seats Vx-vz. But the interior has been halted for another couple of weeks as i need to overhaul the front end. New bushes all round, desperately need new ball joints, some new shocks (Monroe) and some little bits and pieces |

Agreed do it all at once, dont do it twice , trust me ( as i have to pull out the springs again and put in lower ones) |

just put new carpet in the sedan... waddaya think? I went lighter as I wanted to brighten up the interior a bit: also put that resomat stuff in, hope it works for the money: Nice and neat, though would of gone with black carpet as light colors tend to be magnets for dirt |

went lighter as it won't be an every day car.... didn't want dark carpet, each to their own......... |
