Dam nice man! My dream bike is a Speed Triple in matte black but I'd settle for a Street like that. The pipes look sensational!

How does it sound with that exhaust?

I had an 06 CBR600RR, theres a thread in here somewhere, looked the goods but they're just shit to ride on the road!
Mates have R6 GSXR600 and ZX6s, they have nothing on the naked bikes for fun

Thanks dude, yeah I took the Speed Triple out for a spin when I was testing, I love the matte black too :D
The Street Triple is more fun though, lighter, faster unless you're on a straight, and they wheelie better :bowrofl:

Heres a quick vid when I was fitting up the pipes, cant find the ones on the move to upload: Youtube

Yeh i'm not 100% on the green myself, had to do something though as all black wheels and tyres look boring unless you have a set of forged rims.

At least you didnt go orange, would be awkward if we rocked up to a party together, one of us would have to go home and change.

Love it mate! soem tastefull mods already! would love to hear a vid of the pipes, especially once they carbon up a bit!

You Sir! Have a great taste in bikes. Id Prefer your old one but both look awesome!

Man I'm probably 100% decided to buy a Triumph Street Triple for my next bike. Undecided as to R vs normal one.
I mean suspension is nice but I probably won't notice much as I don't do track days, brakes sound nice as a show off factor but really if I have enough braking power to lock up the front wheel I'm more then happy. I do like the R's paint scheme though - looks almost matte. I like the orange and grey.
Just btw - some dumb lady almost pulled out infront of me the other day same thing. She nudged forwards and hesitated then moved forwards about a metre infront of me so I braked hard locking up my rear wheel which made her think better of it. I then drove by her having to go around her nose a bit. The worst thing is she glared at ME - can you believe that shit?

    VU_SS_UTE
    Post #30

Yeah the R model is matte finish, either grey or orange like mine.

I wasnt too fussed either about R or non R, this one was at the right price though, now ive ridden it and felt the brakes im glad i went for the R though, going to be a lot of fun when im 100% again!
They're both awesome bikes though, my black one was tops, easily the best bike for road riding imo, just do everything well!

Get either, you wont regret it!

Thanks mate, wait until this ones had a few mods before you decide, all bikes look a bit boring stock...

Fitted the belly pan the other day, looks a bit better now, oh and i removed the massive shovel from the rear!

man thats sexy. But moving out with the missus and job changes latetly - etc; I dunno if I can afford to drop 13,000 on a bike. SV650s are fucking cheap though and similar sort of fun.
Just gotta sell the 250 ninja first.

Yeah you cant go wrong with the SV's either mate! I had one a few years back, just make sure you get the naked one not that half faired stuff :mamoru:

They sound sweet with a nice pipe on them too.

    RIFFTOR
    Post #34

but surely that half fairing makes it a bit more useful the freeway with respect to wind buffeting etc. probably decreases vibration.
I admit it looks a bit boring though.

It does, but the half faired S one is geared taller overall, and with clipons as well theres more weight over the front, removing the fun of a naked bike.

Ive had 3 naked bikes and they're still comfy at up to 160 odd, after that you need to duck down and hang on, but thats why i like em, 150 feels like you're flying, get on a full faired bike and 200 is nothing!

May as well go full faired bike, fairings should either be all or nothing imo...
