My pet hate is retards that can't merge at speed. Good example is where the logan motorway merges from 2 lanes to one, people wait till the last minute to merge and then the person they merge infront of slams on there brakes, and next thing theres 5km of traffic and people are merging at 2kmph. Why can't people just casually merge across at 100 before the merging lane ends.

my dad's 62 Drives fine, and still drives big block chevs, blown small block hot rods with no worries at all, and could controle a car better than 90% of the people on here :P

i also hate people who indicate right to go straight at roundabouts, without indicating left to exit, and also people who go straight in the left turn only lane at specific roundabouts ie. ashmole rd and klingner rd roundabout in redcliffe.
AND
i also hate those people who assume that because you are in the left lane approaching a two-lane roundabout that you are turning left... then they proceed to go through the roundabout forcing you to hit the brakes endangering heaps of people during busy times. this happens extremely frequently at the roundabout at the top of the hill on klingner rd and elizabeth ave.

i generally dislike roundabouts.

Yes we can whinge all we want. But driving to Sydney last weekend proved that we, as Queenslanders, are pretty good drivers in comparison.

Just after Coffs on Friday morning, the true NSW merging skills came out. We could see ahead that a truck and a car came to almost crawling speed because niether of them knew who was to go first. Then in Sydney, they don't look. They indicate and do the swiftest lane change EVAR. Pretty sure I was on the horn for about 5 seconds at one point because they simply don't look. Along with the retard that decided to turn her wheels at the intersection so when she took off, she headed straight for my car. I mean FFS, no wonder L/P platers are restricted to lower speeds.

Where: Roundabout at Intersection of Daw Road and Hill Road, Runcorn
Why: Drunk drivers and P-Plates failing to slow down at the round about and proceeds to drive STRAIGHT OVER the pedestrian median, running over signs, small trees.
Aftermath: Council fixes the roundabout once a month on average due to the frequencies of the accidents which tend to happen late at night
Recommendations: Do not drive past the intersection! (roundabout)

what:

People comming from coot-tha who see someone going to coot-tha off the round a bout, and think that means they can slowly start moving and get onto the roundabout, only to have me beep the crap out of them and slide to a halt before hitting them because they took off too slow and too late.

Same for when i turn right around the other roundabout near it on milton rd going towards bardon, at first i thought it was me taking the corner too fast, but the other day i just abled around there at 15, and someone STILL came out infront of me when i was only a few meteres from hitting them!

Also:
people who can merge
people who sit in the right hand lane (except for road out to gatton where the left lane is so shit it would dismanlt your car while you drove)
people who dont indicate properly on roundabouts
people who try and get as far up a merging lane, or lane that ends as possible when traffic is backed up IE: hill going up to latrobe tce that has a left lane for trucks that turns back into one lane at the top, i will drive into the left lane if i see people doing that, and last time i did this, the person behind be saved my spot in the line till it re-merged back to 1 lane. what a champ.

What: Decided he was going to overtake me, only me & him on the road. I look out my window at about where hes trailer starts & he puts on his blinkers & decides he's going to merge over now. Luckily there was a (very small) breakdown lane I was able to swerve into. He didn't even think twice before merging over, just hit the blinkers & went for it. :P

Ok i dont know if anyone knows the maroochydore area, but the roundabout that leads off to sugar road and past sunco motors after u come down the hill.. everytime im going around that round-about some stupid kent coming down the hill doesnt stop and just comes flying through. Then they get angry at me for getting as close as physically possible to there bumper after they do this. I have a feeling the next person to do this to me will end up dead!

Im pretty sure coming down the hill left lane is straight through or right and the right lane is right turn only allowed. people in the left lane going through can easily do it without stopping for cars turning onto wises from sugar road (unless the car from sugar decides he needs to fly through the roundabout also and crosses lanes due to their warp speed), however if either lane needs to go right then they would need to stop.

dont see the issue?

Yeah you have got it sort of right. When i am coming from sugar road i need to take the wises road exit and then turn straight into glen kyle drive which is on the left. So i would need to transition into the left lane when going around. People coming down the hill in the left lane dont check and just come straight out and cut me off ALL the time! I ALWAYS indicate for that roundabout and for some reason they still dont realise i am going to be going infront of them.. fucking retards!

Murwillumbah, some old lady that shouldnt be driving a powerfull car, She was driving in a green soarer, i was driving slow becouse had chicks in my car an some old lady one of my mums mates thast owns a soarer, was driving behind be an she desided to be a smartass without thinking and i was doing 100km wich is sweet for those 2 lane backroads behind murwillumbah, an she desides to overtake me when there is oncoming traffic, so i had to slam the breaks on just so she could get around, was pretty fucked, i know its cool seing an old person get out of a real nice car at a servo an what not but when there actually controlling them an driving on the roads its fucking dangrouse, dont worry the next day i drove down to her work an told her that she should catch the bus not be driving in a v8 supercharged soarer,

Fucking coppers come flying through our roadworks, Clearly signed 40 kilometers, They had to be doing atleast 80, No lights or sirens, The driver was on the mobile phone.

This really really shits me. This is the people suppose to be protecting us, and enforcing road rules.


Off Topic. Don't speed through roadworks. It is dangerous for the guys working there, I am sick to death of watching people speeding through them, than getting upset when they almost hit someone, Or miss where the whitches hats clearly show which way to go. Use your fucking heads.

its increasingly becoming top of my road rage list.....people that come to a complete stop at 'turn left any time' intersections.. when there is 2 fucking huge merge lanes right there with nobody in them.... ie helensvale @brisbane road towards harbourtown.. and the worst one... from the nerang/surfers exit towards ashmore! turn and check for traffic at the same time!

also pretty much every other car on the road for the 5am northbound M1 treck, i offer a collective fuck you!

Think they're all tough and shit in their v8s & turbos but, they still can't drive for shit. Most common fuck up; Not being able to move their finger one inch to hit the indicator, hits my button every time!

That being said, I've seen some pretty bad P platers of late too :P

Well I just saw a black alfa 166 sedan driven by a wog go through a red light intersection through the T3 Lane at about 80km/h as we were all stopped in traffic and other cars were going on the other side of the intersection on Wharf St & Turbot St.......

How did I get his details? Because the @#$! was stopped at the next set of traffic lights in the same T3 lane.......

Plates were 000GHX. Good going fuckwit! I wish there was a semi coming through to clean your ass up!

on the bribie off ramp there used to be a merging lane which is now a set of lights (thank F**K) and i cant remember how many times a car would be travelling 40 to merge into the 60 zone (frustrating enough), with plenty of room to assess and plenty of room between cars coming, i look to pick my spot to merge into, look back not about a second later to see them nearly stopped! very almost whacked the back of em, happened countless times not just to me (cause of new roads with lights there now) theres been some pretty good stacks there.

and even more frustrating, the bruce highway around morayfield and bribie area is now 3 lanes, is it too much to ask that when someone is in the merging lane to get off the on ramp onto the highway that you budge over just one lane as there are no cars around you so that we can get on the highway? and even worse again when at the last minute b4 you merge they decide they wanna be infront of you instead of let you in and deliberately put the foot down and cut you off. end rant.

your supposed to merge over after the roundabout, its a shit bit of road design but thats how it is.

The other nigth i was stuck behind a silvia going slow in the right hand lane. And when i go to undertake he decides he's finally going to move over, too late i'm already commited and he ends up blaring his horn at me. good work...


Also another thing, has anyone ever come across the mentality of people driving defectable (mainly imported deliberately defectable) cars that drive 5-10 ks below the limit thinking they're avoiding police attention?

was driving over the ONE WAY ramp, when some old guy decides he wants to exit the carpark and go THE OTHER WAY on a ONE WAY ramp. Not only this, but rather than going "oh shit, everyone's going the other way, time to reverse back to where i came from" he decides to CONTINUE the wrong way, waving people (including me) out of his road. Pretty sure he should be shot.
