i dont mind ppl that have fwd cars thats there choice but i do hate it when ppl like this guy think they have a race car cuz its got vtec! in my opinion no fwd car will ever be betta around a track than a rwd car unless it is very heavily modified.

Since when did I say I have a race car? I very rarely take my car to the track anymore.

Fastest Track times are pretty much all AWD...... Just not that track cause your looking at 2WD section
Also not saying all Vtec cars are race cars but the DOHC Vtec was built for fuel efficiency at lower revs and the other for high - RPM output. Even Integra's Type R's rev out to over 9,000rpm stock... So sure off the start most vtecs are quick. Doesn't mean its slow its just better for smaller tracks. And yeah i reckon a Type R civic could destroy an ecotec or alloytec on a track. Also should read the name of the topic.... P Plate legal. Less than 200kW. So yeah no need to bring up the new alloytec engines or whatever

My car is loud and lumpy on idle, Never been pulled up by the cops for it? I have high lift cams in mine, never had a problem.

must be pretty done up then cuz thats my gfs family race car above it the r33 and that thing is very heavly modified?

I don't think that list is too up to date. The HPR CRX ran a high 56 seconds on the sprint track

Driver is a fucking nutcase and the car is light, very light.
I think it only has what just over 200hp atw? 2L non turbo.

Power to weight is the biggest factor for it.

ok well that is one quick fwd lol anyway im over it all i was saying bout the vtec racecar thing is ive just seen a lot of honda drivers try n race me and i use to work wit a guy that recons his stock crx beats anything including a done up sv8 just because the took his intake pipe off the filter. but i dont have a problem with u if u arnt one of them lol might see ya out cruising sum time.

fuk all weight. alright amount of power.

beats most power to weight on the road, p plate legal or not

there's a best motoring vid with the DC2R
hangs with an sti the whole way round the track, sti gets ahead in the last few seconds iirc thumbsup.gif

Yes and these days will cost your average Joe almost as much as just buying a DC5R.

Someone said that the commodore engines were shit. I was pointing out that the alloytec/ecotec arent shit.

e.g. capable of 225KW from a stock 6 commodore = an alright designed engine. So i'd say me bringing it up was completely warranted. smile.gif

LOL @ the cop. The day premium pump fuel adds 5KW to an engines output, ill cut off a nut.

the only way to get a final answer is a 1/4 mile day with all different p plate cars so all cars are ran on the same day and its all equal biggrin.gif im happy to bring my somewhat modified n/a supra out


would be fun


and on the topic of cops im in the redlands and dont get bothered about modifications... i have exhaust,custom intake piping and airbox, extractors and an safc yet to be tuned evan tho when that pop the bonnet its all shiny that dont seem to care just checking for the turbo's
