have a 33 gtst, basically need some ideas on a good ecu that is fairly cheap, and yeah you get what you pay for i know.
i know about nistune, but if i dont go nistune i was looking at going with something that eliminates my AFM?

mods:
pod
bigger turbo (highmount set up)
fmic
3.5" turbo back exhaust
44mm (i think) external wastegate
greddy copy plenum
bosch 044 fuel pump
bigger injectors

basically what's in the picture, it's obviously not 100% finished yet..

the cheapest ecu that i know that gets rid of the afm is the power fc djetro but seriously get the nistune they from what i have read and understood are a crap load better. and is cheap so you can get a z32 afm.

This^^ ... Prices for ecu's range depending on options, quality, wire in or plug-n-play? Maybe hunt down a Nismo ecu or talk to some tuners and see what they say as they'll be able to recommend an ecu to suit your mods and future needs/wants

Unless you are a sheep, don't bother with the PowerFC.

Shit tune resolution.

The only reason people use them is because the owners have no idea and need something plug and play.

AFAIK not for RB25DETS as they previously were not made. They(Apexi) have apparently modified an RB26DETT PFC D-JETRO to work on RB25 with VCT(Was for sale on Nengun earlier in the year). IIRC brand new they are/were 1900 or something along those lines so yeah not a cheap ECU and putting aside the loss of AFM they don't really do a whole deal more than can be achieved with a Nistune.

EFI, they said, apexi, haltech, nistunes. but the z32 ecu's are a bitch to find.
just looking at peoples opinions, seeing out my options.
trying to find the cheapest possible options. if i have to keep my AFM so be it.

How so? how hard have you looked?

Z32 ECU $200 on SAU
Another Z32 ECU for $200

Also give Nizzpro a ring on the gold coast as i know they had Z32 readily available for i think under 200 a year ago.

But apart from all that its only hard to find if you don't look hard enough.

i'm dumb and didn't even think about SAU head_wall.gif
but all in all, went with the power FC.
car's in the workshop now getting mechanical work done, and then hopefully a tune.
lets hope all goes well.. ph34r.gif
