Swapping Out A Rear Control Arm - VY commodore

Hey guys, I was involved in an incident on Sunday where I had to mount a gutter in order to avoid a collision (old mate merged lanes without looking). The impact (front left hitting the gutter) was enough to swing the rear end out as I was traveling around a left hand corner and spin 180 degrees back into the gutter. The sideways impact cracked the rear drivers alloy and has left the wheel in positive camber and well out of alignment. Im not overly familiar with commodore IRS, but from first looks it appears to be a bent control arm. I am hoping the K frame itself is not bent, but at the moment Ill replace the control arm get an alignment and see how it goes. I have never worked on commodore IRS (with the exception of swapping springs) before is there anything I should be aware of whilst doing this?

This will be a Sunday job so If someone could give me a quick rundown on the job that would be great.

Devote all day Sunday to it if you dont have a hoist, a car jack and 2 strong men.

PS: If the rear cradle is bent, which often happens... it will become a bitch of a job

Whats got to come off to get the arm out? Shock, CV? Handbrake? Looks pretty straight forward, the front mount for the arm looks interesting tho. I assume the IRS was pre-assembled as it looks like the front bolt doesn't have enough room to slide fully out before hitting the body. Whats the go there, drop the front of the cradle to allow room, or is it just one of those looks like it but actually comes out easy things.

A hoist would be nice, not gain to drive 100K to my old mans garage as it is tho.

Caliper, disc, handbrake cable, brake line, shock, spring, unbolt the entire CV shaft and leave the hub/wheel bearing in place. The rear arm + hub + wheel bearing weighs about 60Kg and trying to line it back up and get bolts in place takes forever.

Remove the outer one first, then inner. Outer one looks tight but it is possible to JUST squeeze it out

Just to update, its all fixed now...took around 5 hours all up working off jack stands, certainly worth saving the $450 in labor tho. 4 out of those 5 hours was spent getting the arm out, was surprised how quick the new arm went back in actually...my happy confirmation that the K frame is not too bent haha. For the record that bolt I mentioned above does not slide completely out (hits the body) although if you get it on the right angle you can slide the arm out with the bolt still half in.

Just thought I would update for reference, if anyone needs help in the future feel free to PM.

I have a vu commodore and trying to remove the right rear control arm. The inner bolt is bent and doesn't seen to want to come out very easy, the k frame doesn't look bent, the arm seems only bent at the caliper mounting point. Just curious to know how I may need to go about removing this. Or if you had any troubles
