honestly mate your'd be better off injecting and stroking your 351 to make that sort of power.

Nothing crisper than cracking the throttle open on a well tuned big capacity injected v8

Or swapping to a injected 460 bored and stroked to 500+ cubes.

A few quick calculations tell me it would probably be cheaper than turbocharging the 351 in the long run.

he could be going for WOW factor not just horses??

Stroke the 351, keep the turbocharging for the Japanese cars please, nothing beats the sound of a finely tuned 351 on song.

Ring Marty at John White Race Engines.

His mustang is a 351 windsor? iirc, twin turbo that makes more like 800 horsepower at the wheels.

He would be your man to talk too.

Injectors
turbo x2
high energy ignition
oil lines, water lines
efi pumps, lines, surge tank
intercooler, piping
Clamps, silicone joiners
efi intake manifold and fuel rails
fuel pressure reg
ECU
turbo manifolds
Dump pipe
Exhaust
gaskets
engineering
+odds and ends

Your looking at an easy 10k+ just to turbo your stock motor (& gearbox).

What car are u puttin it into?
It might be illegal to turbo such a large block depending on the weight of the car

as far as i know according to the DOT you have to multiply the Tare mass (mass of the car off the show room) by 0.244 and that is the maximim CC size block u can have in that car...

i have a mate who has twin turbo 304 in a VK,

tare mass x 0.244

1250 x 0.244 = 305cc (correct me if im wrong on the mass)

as for the other points be prepared to spend a little money
my friend's engine has over 60k worth of work and is pulling just under 500hp at the wheels.

Yeah its 351 windsor but custom crank and 400+ cubes. Over 800hp @ 6 psi.
He is the man to talk to, he runs T04's with small compressor housings.
It recently ran 11.5 at 138 mph wheelspinning full track. thumbsup.gif

3391 7533 is his number.

That's always been my dream, I prefer the sound of a supercharger belt whining on the start up though...Can't beat an injected 351 though...Good luck,

Roy..

sticking with turbo, would be better to go single turbo or twin?
should i use 4 v heads or 2 v heads?
what crank, rods and pistons should i use?
how much would crank rods and pistons roughly be.
also thank u to everyone who replied.

if your clevo is not injected it will cost a fortune to convert. you`ll have to get crank angle sensors injectsers manifold etc etc etc. cheaper alternative to do an engine swap to later model injected. TURBO`S & CARBY`S TOGETHER ON A V8 TO MUCH TROUBLE DUDE!!!!!!!! Marty White is the man to call. all up it`s not going to be cheap!!

correct me if i am wrong but i thought it was a cleveland? Yeah i saw this thing at queensland raceway it fried the tyres in 4th gear, he would be the man to talk to.

I am currently building an engine for mine at the moment, but going N/A , plenty of power on tap with the old 351's facesjump.gif

I'd be looking at supercharging it. Cheaper in the long run. Going EFI would be nice, but not needed.

Go to the US ford motorsport site.

Find a crate motor with how much grunt you want.

Buy it and put it in.

It'll be the cheapest way to do it.

you're going to drop 30 grand on a motor plus a lot of heart ache just to have a pissing comp with someone at a car show cause you built a TT 351.
