GTR was, compared to the other vehicles, I found to be moderately quiet. Though we were situated at corners with oftern long approaches it wasn't really discernable over the other cars. But in Loaunceston on Friday night all th ecars were lining the main street, and we got to sit in the drivers seat (read - climb awkwardly over padded role cage and into tight racing street). The dash is something speacial with the big screen display. The engine was on idle and sounded sweet up close. Gave the throttle a light amount of pressure. smile.gif
...annoyingly forgot to ask why they pulled out... sad.gif

Summoner... I was looking for a camo coloured bonnet, but never saw one, only few days in I recalled it was the K-Mac Porsche. ...i'll forward any pics I find though.... Pretty sure I'll be there next year too! My brother incrediably keen to get a old race car-ready to enter! Can't afford it myself at this time , though the $2000 entry fee for rookie rally is great deal!

K-tec sorry, where did I get Kmac from. note to self , remind my brother if we are to enter ensure car is attractive to women.

Whats involved in actually competing? ie, what sort of costs should we be considering. apart from cost of car itself if we found a suitable one with all saftey cages, etc. ...

    haha k-mac do suspension for commo's dunno.gif

Rough run down of costs for us were
    entry fee $7500
    Race fuel $4000
    Ferry crossing $1500 or so
Then theres accommodation during the event in launceston, strahan/queenstown, hobart
    flights to get to melb
    shipping of the car
    etc
    etc

i wont go in to too much detail but it isn't cheap unfortunately esp if you're based out of Perth where the car is usually
