1983 Holden Wb ute -
we bought this as a barn find,
had plans to fully restore but do not have time, have completed the basics to get it registered and on the road. has been used as a daily work driver.
we fully stripped the interior as it was rotten, have wire buffed entire interior and painted black, fitted 2 cheap racing seats to get it resgistered , has been mod plated for bucket seats.
engine is a blue 202 and was dyno tuned by terry at parramount toowoomba, made 106hp at the wheels and terry said the engine was in very good condition. Engine has extractors and 2.5'' straight through exauhst , which is dumped at the diff.
The ute has been converted to a toyota celica 5 speed, from the three on the tree. - drives great, gearbox has no issue
--- Have replaced the following
rear diff center
spring bushes
wheel bearings
radiator
hoses and belts
plugs, leads and distrubutor
fuel pump
all fluids
starter motor
battery
tail gate
rear tail lights (v hard to find)
brand new maxxis 760 tyres
powdercoated original rims
pioner basic sounds system (2 speakers + good head unit)
+ probably more but cant remember
has little panal rust in the usual places, -- Rear tub is solid.
Ute lived in st george in a barn. we restored and got on the road.
great solid platform for a full restorer , or continue to use as a daily driver.
Ute has been driven to and from work for the last 4 months, honestly ute runs great, never overheats, and starts everytime
